  1. I can't imagine loosing everything that insurance or money can't replace, let alone what it can. Best wishes for the easiest comback-glad everyone got out.
  2. Great job-love the color combo
  3. Glad to hear it worked better the second time. I believe it is all revenue based. I drive a Dodge diesel pickup that was exempt from testing. Suddenly it needed testing and has zero pollution believe it or not. The tester even said that the diesels never fail and are cleaner than the the gas cars and didn't know why they were tested. Yes it puts out particulents, it is a diesel, but apparently not the ozone killing, asthma contributing stuff they are testing for. Also I have yet to see anyone buy or make clean air with the money collected. Will this be cash or check?
  4. Nice tribute, black is tough to do and you did a great job.
  5. Like probably most here I have never built a model I'm satisfied with. I wouldn't call them nemesis models, but some I may rebuild new and some may be works revisited. The more I learn from this forum, I realize the less I know. It is difficult to know when to be happy with your results, and to strive for something better. I do believe we all become better with every build and it is nice to also see where we started and the improvements we've made. Build forward.
  6. I would say it was tackled, eye gouged, piled on, and hit with a folding chair. But each their own.
  7. I'm a rock/metal teen of the eighties and enjoyed their music ( even the disco stuff).. But I have not been a fan of later albums, and I'ts not just them. Artist and albums got over produced and senthisized when they became popular and lost the rawness. Yes, Kiss did it (back to the disco phase) but they did try to be a little more natural ( with MTV in mind) in the 80s . That being said, I would rather listen to any Kiss over pop music, so don't beat me up to hard.
  8. I missed this in wip but that is one fine looking Ford. Nailed it!
  9. Don't be discouraged, we all have had a learning curve. I would say try practicing on anything and everything that isn't important or crucial. Paper, cardboard, plastic spoons, etc. The fine work seen on this forum didn't happen overnight but it is obtainable, at least I hope because I'm still trying myself.
  10. I shipped 20 packages with USPS last month all with ebay/paypal labels. They all were shipped on a monday and received the following monday--Parcel Select. I hadn't sold anything in a year but last year I had packages from 5 business days to 16 shipping Parcel. I know it can be hit or miss but my experience with them has been positive and improved. Sorry for your problems, they all have them---and no I don't work for the USPS.
  11. Harry, that kind of stuff bothers me as well. I don't know the answer but It's probably all the above. With your skills I'm sure you can fix it but it still comes back to why. Anyhow that's a nice gift, kudos to the giver and the mostly thankless job you do.
  12. Nice job, another one off the bench. Somehow I think another late 50s auto is in your future.
  13. Looks good, I agree that we have too many wind tunnel designed cars No style, grace, or originality, but I have always been a fan of the art deco look.
  14. That is very nice, love all the details. Even the trailer and it's licence plate look right.
  15. Very cool, keep at it and thanks for sharing.
  16. Same here, built one 30 yrs ago but have no idea where it is. Nice work
  17. Good looking car but wonder how drive-able it would be-if only I had the means to find out.
  18. I liked both colors, too bad about the first one. I hope you post pics of the Lambo and fit and finish info when you get there.
  19. I'm not a big tuner fan, but nice job. Are the racks included in the kit or sourced from something else?
  20. Fun build, box stock with Testors airbrushed enamel frame and paint brush acryl on on the rest. The one thing that bothers me is I didn't make mounts to hold the ax and shovel-maybe someday. Comments welcome enjoy.
  21. It's always nice to get a longstanding project done, even if not perfect. In saying that, it look's perfect from where I'm sitting. Nice job.
  22. Nice idea, I like the clear look to see the progress. I have a non clear tub but can do up to 3 at a time. That sounds bad , but when inspiration strikes and zero planning is involved it comes in handy. Some can relate. But I might have to find a clear tub, I like that . Thanks
  23. This is my first attempt at pictures, hope it works. This is a friends yard art pickup which now has a bed full of dirt and has flowers growing in it during the summer. The last pics are of the model I built for him as if it were new. PS It is a total rust bucket deserving of being a planter.Built box stock
