  1. Ruined the front grille on the first attempt... Had to open the second kit These bumpers would have to do... Just don't know how to work the logos
  2. Sorry about the picture quality... Night light
  3. Thanks John Pol, I'm not sure I understand what do you meant by that?, the tank is a one piece to the frame EDIT: Ahhhh!!!... "The Name"!!!... I read Frame IOI
  4. One day when I grow up, I would love to do a build from scratch... Awesome stuff!!!
  5. I know it looks a bit soft but I wanted to keep it mellow so that the other parts pop out a little better... This was tough but I'm really happy how it came out
  6. Funny you just said that... I was reading your "on the workbench" thread right now
  7. Surprisingly very minor sanding was required on the body and the chassi... Primed and behind the glass
  8. Thank you for the props Oscar, I'm really hyped about this one. Thank you James. That is a lot of spray right?, the thing is I'm really bad with the brushes and just getting a hold of the airbrush (Basically just use it for clear coats to be safe), but I have gotten kinda good with the spray cans, so pretty much spray paint for "everything"!!! (Waste of paint? maybe, but the stuff comes out really neat and clean). On a separate note, the kit says remove the body emblems and the fender lights... been starring at them for some time trying to figure out if I should attempt a clean cut, or if just sand them out
  9. Moving on... 68' Charger R/T ---->
  10. Project number 5... Just finished with a 1982 Renault 5 Turbo and thanks to a fellow member (You know who you are), decided to build the Revell Special Edition 68' Dodge Charger R/T; this kit is way above my skill level, but I'm willing to give it my best shot. Curiously, I was not able to find a single photo of the car as shown in the Hemified version (Not a complete model, not a real car... Nothing!!!)... So I would like to make it just like it But, since I usually buy two kits (In case I ruin something), would like to paint the second body in full black (This also to be used as a race version). This kit is massive, well, for my newbie skills at least, and is probably the toughest I have yet to deal with, so please hang tight. Thank you for reading.
  11. Thanks for the pics Mike, I caught a few imperfections throughout the trees, but nothing major... Never before attempted to remove logos, door handles or turn signals, nor have I tried the putty, so thinking about cutting and sanding is a whole new thing. Do you have a thread for that particular build bud?
  12. Thanks Tomo, I just wanted to make sure the rear wasn't going to be too high using the leaf blocks... The one other thing that comes to mind is info on where to get the wired distributor (I do have plenty wire here but no distributor).
  13. Tomo, did you have to cut the rear fenders in order to be able to fit the big wheels?
  14. Easy uh???... I was freaking out just by peeking through the bags , Thanks God I have your build thread to use as reference. I think I should stick to Lego blocks Ah!!!, I didn't see the excess residues from the convertible molding Mike mentioned in the Sauber thread... Do you think is because this was the Special Edition?
  15. He he he, Yes sir.. Your fault!!!
  16. "Fun with Dick and Juan"... THE END!!!... Thanks for hanging with me
  17. Thanks bud. My friend knows my limitations as far as model building goes, so I guess if I manage to make it hold together AND "if" the car can be taken to him in one piece he should be OK Could not understand the position of the fog lights, so they went up straight...
  18. Thanks John, The love for Renault is mutual, This brand was the commanding line back in the 70's and 80's in South America... As a matter of fact I learned how to drive on a Renault 6 (Emerald Green none the less)... (That bag of bones on the left would be me , the "bee gee" looking guy to the right is my father). And here is another of him in his 12 Rally... Sweet memories!!! Ah!!!... The Renault 5 Turbo kit is still out there, I saw a couple kits at the local shop.
  19. Decided not to use the pilots... I saw a movie called "The Indian In The Cupboard"....
  20. Thanks Oscar... A bit frustrating but the lesson was received loud and clear; you can see how I was rushing with this project... Which in all honest truth voids the sole purpose of the hobby. These friggin' newbies and their rush to finish their projects uh???
