  1. Jonathan, Tomo, Oscar, Jim and myself... Come on guys, I know you are out there... Let's get us some GT stuff going!!!
  2. AWESOME Stuff Jonathan... Do you have a WIP thread for it?, I would like to subscribe to the updates.
  3. I think it was more of a Street Import thing... Back in 2006 I restored a Honda Civic from the ground up, bought two Acura Type R engines in Hong Kong and when they arrived both had Blue blocks with Red V Tech covers... Doing some research on the rebuild most of the photos we could find had blue engines Here: A link to the full resto (Including two complete paint jobs), can be seen here I also felt like doing some Origami I think even with the primer the finish is going to be too soft, so I will let these dry and see how it works... If not, I will just make the whole thing white.
  4. Oscar .... The blue engine was "the Japanese thing" back in the mid 90's, engines like the B20's were mostly Blue with Red tops (Hondas and Acuras as well). I also did a little bit of Carbon earlier today to give it a little more detail
  5. My friend in South America sent me this today... I bet he wants to inspire me to make his better
  6. Nah... I'm doing a Le Mans entree Here is some more work finished:
  7. Sure thing bud!!!... I just ordered my GT Race Car CPB kit (Had to get it in Great Britain because it has not come yet to the US)
  8. Chassis done... (Sorry about the picture quality)... You guys need to see this one: Is the construction of the smallest V12 engine , the viedeo is in Spanish because it was manufactured by Motores Patelo but is truly a work of art.
  9. We really need to get the ball rolling with the Gran Turismo Race Car CPB... I believe we need a hand full more of people to get it going. Worked a little last night: And primed the chassis this morning:
  10. I've got those little grills Jim... PM me your info and I'll get them out on Monday.
  11. Jim, I have extras of the fender trims (Assuming is the same body)... If you need them they are yours.
  12. Thanks for looking into this Oscar, they have them, but with postage from AU they will be pretty close to the cost of purchasing a new kit... Is all right, it is what it is.
  13. Tomo we need to meet on the GT network some day; to be perfectly honest, I have not played with the wheel lately but it sure has been fun (The GT3 took me 11 months of non stop fun to complete, all the others were significantly faster... The GT5 I only finished in B Spec). I researched about the after market decals, could find only one company that makes them, is called Shunko, but they are sold out and they don't know when they would become available again... Also found them at Strada Sports, purchased them and this morning I got a Paypal refund with a note of out of stock... So it seems I would have to get a couple new kits just to replace the decals (OUCH!). Found a fellow modeler that said he would help me to install them, I hope to learn his trick.
  14. Thank you Tristan. Yeah... I knew from the start those decals were trouble!!!. If I ruin the next set I would consider applying the Sard instead. You should build the Sard Tom, the build itself is pretty simple (I think the hardest part is the roll cage, which is not, and the side panels that require some pressure while the glue dries).
  15. Thank you Dale, believe it or not, that is exactly how I learned to do the decals and even though my experience is extremely limited, I have always praised myself as being above the average applying them... I tried the steaming pad and the QTip, I tried with and without solvents and as of right now, there is not a single decal in either one of the bodies. Gonna have to reach out for a hand from the guys at the local club... I want to be seating down right next to the guru that will be able to place these correctly. Noticed that the material is a bit thicker than the regular Tamiya decals too. Ah!!!, Jonathan, been browsing a lot of stuff trying to decide on the GT build
  16. Browsing though those photos, I got the perfect idea for the GT contest If you ever do the decals, please count me in for a couple sets. My ID is gameslayer2001... I'll look you up (Even though is Skyrim lately IOI).
  17. Yes Sir!!!... from 1 to 5 all finished
  18. That is the one Jonathan.... Full black with white decals.
  19. You are right Tomo... Sorry I got carried away I agree on the "One year is too long" BUT I'm in anyway
  20. Yup, found it... The Nissan is an awesome project Tomo... I wish I could find the Gran Turismo Polyphony Digital decals to make the Black version... Or that Tamiya would make up their mind to make the Nissan Woodone Advan Clarion GTR Uh???
  21. Just to make sure... Considering the Tom's Supra has only paint in the body does it qualify? AND do I need to stop working on them until the 17th? Or should I just start on a parallel project? Ah!!!, what if a couple of us contribute with a few sealed kits for the winner(s)???
