  1. I built this kit to try and push my skill limits, and see what I could come up with. its 99.99% done, I just need to pick up some aluminum tube for the tips, as the stuff I have left over is from Semi Pipes so its a llittle large! As usual when I post stuff on here, I'd like anyone who reads the post to do their best to pick out every little goof up or problem, as thats how I improve. Ill be the first one to point out my own mistakes as well! The first thing I goofed is the side windows. even with the clear window glue, I still glue bombed them better picture of the dash.. im also not really happy with the hood. due to the slow drying of enamel some junk landed in it, and its not very smooth. the exhaust was warped and didnt match with the manifolds verywell, so I wrapped some BMF and wrinkled it to look like that heat shield tape. Ive never been able to get the 440 decals to lay down flat. ugh. Put some wires to the battery
  2. Any updates on this build? It was just starting to get good!
  3. Well I got the wheels glued on, the engine compartment completed and most of the decals on. I will be posting in the underclass category when I get home! Thanks to everyone for following the build.
  4. Thanks everyone! And I used model master lacquer, the stuff that says 2 part. Great stuff.
  5. Almost finished!
  6. Thanks! I got the interior body and chassis mounted together. I just have to finish putting in the engine bay peices, put the front bumper and lower piece (the fog lights go in it) and get the front suspension and tires on!
  7. I like the "street' wheels but I dont want to pain the low parts flat black, so If I can use the wheels meant for the hemi version, most likely those. If not it will be the stock wheels painted satin black.
  8. Got the interior finished! ]
  9. Thanks everyone. I stripped the chrome from the shifter and rear view mirror and just need to paint them when it stops raining, and the interior will be done!
  10. Got the BMF and door handles painted and the gaps washed, on the door panels, and the center console.
  11. I might have to try that!
  12. Hopefully planning on putting the mirrors and door handles on today. Depends if i get the interior done. Im pretty nervous as there aren't holes that they pop into so I have to use glue, and im afraid to mess up the paintjob...
  13. Forgot to take pictures of the door panels but the interior has been started. Nothing special here...
  14. I'm probably just going to wrap some BMF, or some spare aluminum tube around it. thanks! I almost did paint hemi orange! !
  15. I was going to but I ran out of clear and didn't feel like wetsanding etc, so I took the easy way!
  16. Some pictures of the progress (not that there's much of it) The gap I mentioned earlier. This just won't do. I also had trouble with the exhaust being warped. I bent it slightly so that it fit alright and didnt hang down too low, but it does touch the drive shaft and left shock. Oh well! Its just a model.
  17. Got the exhaust, drive shaft and rear end in, only problem is the gap between the manifold and the exhaust pipe. I might an aluminum sleeve out of some spare tubing
  18. Thanks guys! I had to repaint the grille, as I tried to use a toothpick to scrape the paint off the badging on the grill, and goofed up. Im going to try and get the decal on the air cleaner. I had difficulties with a similar decal on the challenger air cleaner so hopefully it goes better this time.
  19. Got a bit done today. Painted the grill and added a some engine detail.
  20. Been having some difficulty fitting the lower part of the font bumper, I knew I should have just glued it on before paint.
  21. Thanks! I've been test fitting some stuff and the heater hoses may have to be cut slightly because of the spark plug wires being in the way, but im sure Ill figure something. If its that much of a problem ill just make my own.
  22. Thanks! I appreciate it. I had some trouble with the wheel well trim since the clear was so thick but I think I did an okay job.
  23. Thanks guys! I appreciate the comments. To be honest I painted the hood black because I was low on clear coat and I didnt feel like waiting a week to do the hood, and was worried it wouldnt come out as good as the rest of the body.
  24. I was just scrounging through my paint supply and I'm fresh out! Might have to raid the little sisters finger paint supply! Thank you!
