  1. Thank you! I figured I would use them as a gamble, looks like it paid off
  2. I agree! And one of those curved spoilers on top of the cab. The next one will have both!
  3. I got this kit for christmas, and planned on doing it custom.. plans changed and so far all I have done is make stacks out of aluminum tubing. Paint is hemi orange model master lacquer, I absolutely love this stuff, but can't stand the Model master enamel.... clear is testors wet look. Still working in interior and Im going to BMF this one as my first try. I also have to put the lights on the bumper, the brake lights, paint the signal lights on top of the cab and the mirrors, put a wash in the horns and some decals on the mudflaps and chassis. Comments and criticism are appreciated, if anything is wrong or looks bad, please let me know. I'm new to big rigs and I plan do another one and detail it (air hoses, grill gaurd, lowered, headache rack, led lights maybe, and detail the engine) Everything mocked up to make sure the stacks look right. Paint (hemi orange) and first coat of clear Decals and a coat of clear Final clear and wax with some stuff glued on Beauty shot Again questions and criticisms are welcome and encouraged!
  4. Thanks! And you actually are correct on that. The engine is a 383 I believe.
  5. Thank you for your help! I appreciate it very much!
  6. Thank you for the heads up, I will be sure to look into that.
  7. Saw it online for cheap the other day, and something told me it was a rare kit. . Any confirmation on this or am I just crazy?
  8. I think I miscommunicated what I mean.. I don't actually need to attain any knowledge on the topic, the questions are the same for every student, and I don't have to actually meet these people. I have to send/recieve five emails. I typed word for word what the sheet they give us says, to clear up any confusion. The format being this Email one and two- introductory, like wise from interviewee Email three- what is the most important thiNg i should know about my topic, amd why? What is it about this topic you are most passionate about and why The focus of my research is xxxxxx, what expertise can you add to that subject My project is xxxxx, what advice do you have for conpleting that project. Self created question Email 4, interview question answers Email 5, thank you email.
  9. Merely a misunderstanding, he was referring to me. he messaged me to say, come to california and get your a** kicked by an old man.. which I responded by calling him pathetic and lonely. You Have been nothing byt helpful with this, and very much appreciate it. My Apologies to anyone who has to read the arguements between the other member and I, I should know better then to encourage the trolls.
  10. I insulted you, yes, calling you pathetic, and a miserable old man, after you verbally attacked me, and told me to come to california so you could kick my a**. You need to stop. and if you entirely read the post you would realize I said I would CONSIDER it. If it comes down to not having any other option, or failing twelvth grade, Obivously If I have no other choice, Ill use my grandfather. Im not hurting myself by doing that, as He does have the neccesary knowledge of the functioning of hybrid automobiles. Any other flaws in my posting, grammar, logic, or personality you would like to pick out? Can I please have an administrator suspend this clown?
  11. well the project itself is finished, I just need to interview a technician, there's five fill in the blank questions that the school gives us, and then one question we have to formulate our selves. Im simply needing someone to interiview. From there I have everything figured out.
  12. You Sir, win the genius of the year award! I honestly never thought of cheating, well, bending the rules we will say I will definetly have to consider that!
  13. uff. I wish It would have just been shadowing. we had to write proposal letter on what topic we were doing, have it approved by the school, research and write a paper, do this interview process, and I make a model of a hybrid to compare to revells working V8, to demonstrate the differences in hybrids and standard vehicles, then after all that, write another paper summarizing what I learned. YUCK!
  14. Thank You very much, I really Appreciate it!
  15. I Did think that would work, but all emails have to be on the schools email system/ network, and its not so much that I need information, (I wrote a 16 page paper on the topic ) but Its more of a "venture into the real world" type thing, its quite foolish but the school requires it.. Its like I am a reporter interviewing someone basically. I also thought for sure I would have it down, but the rules are that you cant use family members.... Thank you for your advice though!
  16. Well you know what they say, there's always one. I have contacted the local dealerships and they seemed uninterested and told me they couldn't assist me at the current time. Thank you for offering the idea though.
  17. Thank you
  18. If anyone on this forum is a hybrid technician, I need to exchange a series of emails with you. It is for me senior graduation project and was due, like two weeks ago I guess I should clarify- I have not procrastinated and stalled doing this, The area I live in there aren't a whole lot of hybrid technicians that are willing to work with me. the one I did find decide he was unable to a few days ago. It may be Im not searching in the right places. I have called all dealerships for companies that manufacture hybrid cars, and they have told me they are UNABLE to assist me. I have also spoken with my grandfather, who has been a mechanic for 60 years this July, and he knows no one in the field im seeking.
  19. Thanks! I've got more in depth discussions of it on my YouTube channel if anyone's interested
  20. Been busy! Added the blower from a camara kit. I used the original belt setup for the 383 from the dart kit. I then took the belt setup for the blower, and cut it to blend into the 383. Can't even tell. I got the lines from an verizon phone charger that dodmt work. Had some white green red and black lines in it. You could use em for wires or hoses as they vary in size. Hood fits now that have of its gone II forgot to mention I transplated the dart gts firewall into the jeep. I also used a parts box starter as a brake booster Cut the fuel tank off the bottom and transplanted it up to after covering the whole with styrene. Cut out the huge center console hump and covered it with styrene.
  21. thanks! Its fiery orange I believe. testors one coat lacquer! thanks! thats why I love the Big kits. you dont need a microscope and the patience of a buddhist monk to put details and wires in!
  22. found this in my father old room at my granparents house. any information on the rarity or value of this kit (yes i know its in poor shape) would be appreciated. Im not sure if i want to try and rebuild it, as the engine and frame (where most of the detail is, is already cemented down. Theres enough cement on all the pieces to glue down a small child, so i dont think theyre coming apart any time soon.
