  1. Exactly why I did it! I wanted to build another one that I went all out on. I figured anyone can lift it and put bigger wheels, but how many people would put a hemi and drag slicks
  2. Managed to fit the slicks on the original wheels to avoid the headache of attaching different wheels. I also got the stance just about right, and the exhaust still fits under the axles. Now to find a radiator and put in the firewall and engine
  3. Got some progress in lowering it. Hoping to get some slicks on it soon. I also cut some excess junk out. I removed the fuel tank from underneath and will pop it in the back seat like a fuel cell. Cut out a patch with sheet styrene for where the fuel tank was Plugged the holes in the body where the daimond plate trim would go. Cut the hood open too
  4. Thanks! I just hope it comes out as good as I've envisioned it!!
  5. Right now I'm just waiting to get four 1/25 drag slicks, and another jeep kit. Right now I'm using a completed kit to mock everything up on.
  6. I plan in lowering it, adding slicks, slimming down the interior and possibly adding some fenders.
  7. Well I got the idea to throw a hemi, dual exhaust, and a custom roll cage on a rubicon. Heres what I've got so far...
  8. Thanks! Ill make sure now that I know where they all are!
  9. Thanks! The pictures were actually taken with my samsung galaxy s3!!
  10. Wow! Thank that's what I was looking for! All the super small details and technicalities! About the hood, I actually trimmed of the tab, just enough so it goes on and off freely. I left the underside unpainted in the front since the car is supposed to have a fiberglass front end, and fiberglass has that rough texture. Thank you for the advice!
  11. Ill invest in some alcad for the next build!
  12. Yeah I agree in the body seams. I actually thought it would be differemt ti put the grill in the inside. I think u t looks alright.
  13. thank you! I actually enjoy the criticism as long as its respectful!
  14. thanks! I was actually basing this somewhat off of a 1:1 car
  15. this was the stone woods and cook Kit.. It actually didnt come with one. although so was a rear bumper, right Thanks!
  16. yeah! I went overboard with the wash!! thanks for pointing out that mold line! yeah I just noticed them myself after looking at the HI-def pictures!
  17. I actually left the lettering because I thought it would make it look more like a high end die-cast (not sure why i wanted that) and I totally forgot the radiator cap! It was actually really great except for the rear bumper! thanks looking at the HI-DEF pictures on a large screen I can definetly tell I scored the gaps to deeply.. as for the tires I tried but gave up! trademark was left intentionally and taillights were lost!
  18. thank you!
  19. First off, I want people to pick this model to pieces. be honest, but not mean. If you dont like something say so! Im trying to improve as much as I can, and I need feedback!! Anyways!! Box stock on this one, I didnt follow the painting instructions entirely because weell, frankly, I like chrome. I broke the door handle for the passenger side, and my wonderful brother tryed to put the tailghts on his challenger I built him, and succeded in losing them as well. I pitched the rear bumber, as it didnt fit quite right and kept coming off. Paint is Duplicolor paint shop lacquer. Candy Orange, and about 4 coats of clear wet sanded with 2000 in between coats, and the final coat was just compounded and waxed. the mark on the front of the hood is NOT polishing burn through, its a chip...I dropped it while the clear was tacky. anyways, PICTURE TIME!
  20. Thank you!
  21. Thanks!! I just wished the clear coat was deeper!
