  1. "Aww man!!! You sunk my Battleship". That is the color I have chosen to paint the 429.
  2. What about any Chevelle's or Challengers?
  3. would be helpful if I could learn to read.
  4. Is that the MPC kit or Revell Monograms kit?
  5. BTW the latest cars I'd look at building are either the 1978 Pontiac Trans Am Blackbird, or the 1990 Mustang LX 5.0
  6. Hey all. So far have purchased the Monogram Buick GSX, Revell 69 Baldwin Motion Camaro, and the Monogram 1970 Boss 429. Looking for some suggestions for the next musclecars to hit my stash. I've been advised that Monogram/Revell are the way to go for the time being (simpler). So I ask all out there what would you suggest as my next purchases. I'd like to eventually graduate to AMT models as well (1968-69 Road Runner GTX ,1970 Superbee, 1969 Chevelle Convertable OR Hardtop come to mind although have been forewarned about the GTX and RR issues). I do value everyone's opinion on this subject. Thanks for looking.
  7. Sanded the rough areas. Will wait a few days to reshoot the T19 as Mr. Humidity is out and about. Actually it was okay to take the chance so I did. I think it's coming along well.
  8. Thank you so much. I guess I need to paint a little bit closer to the body of the car.
  9. So after wet sanding reprime or just shoot the lacquer again? Sorry for so many questions just disappointed in my effort so far.
  10. Every other part of the body looks good EXCEPT the left corner of the trunk and that area of the roof. Not sure about stripping the paint a little hesitant. So I will try the 1st option. Since it's my first foray into in years I think this first one is trial and error and as I move forward each one should get better. Thanks for all the suggestions.
  11. Okay thanks. How do I get rid of it.
  12. Help. I thought I did the right steps. Prepped my 1970 Buick GSX with primer. Sanded the primer somewhat. Taped off the engine bay and rocker panel trim. Then shot her with Tamiya TS-19 Metalic Blue. What shows up next is rough spots on the roof and trunk lid only. Knew I'd screw up somewhere. Can anyone suggest corrective measures? My thoughts are maybe not warm enough when I painted her (about 66 degrees last night), stick with enamels, or I should've waited a bit longer to paint her or what I believe to be the real cause. I plain suck at painting. Anyways if anyone can help I'd surely appreciate it. Thanks for looking. ,
  13. I guess it may have orange peeled a slight bit.
  14. There's a slight rough area on the roof after spraying the T-19. Any thoughts on how to get that smoother. Not panicking because I'm sure some one has an answer. Thanks.
  15. First time using a lacquer paint. First of all much heavier scent than enamel. Dries quickly. Like it a lot.
  16. Finally somewhat less humidity. Final primer shot to B pillars (posts?), and taped off upper fender so I could paint the engine bay black. Coming along well I suppose. I'd like to thank whoever created the solo cup.
  17. Thanks for the explanation. I work for a company that imports Belgian Chocolates. When the chocolates have a temperature issue the surface of the chocolate blooms (gets a white film on the chocolate). I guess kind of similar in a way.
  18. Just a quick question what do you mean by blush?
  19. Hi let me clarify. I am shooting the final coat of primer on the left B pillar to make sure the flashing went bye bye, and the engine bay in flat black enamel. The body will get its paint next week
  20. Hi it's the novice again. It's 54% humidity today. Can I paint my cars body or too humid still? Thanks for looking. Jerry
  21. So as I understand any model of the 1971-73 Mustangs aren't any good at all?
  22. As evidenced below I do like the 71 to 73 Mustangs
