Just sent PM. BTW have always loved those 1970's LN/LNTs. Ever since my friends brother built the original AMT dual drive tractor ( if I remember correctly it had McLean Trucking decals ), and saw White Line Fever and that LNT was chasing the Blue Mule. I was hooked on the Louisville series. Thanks again. JerseeJerry

What kind of builder are you?
JerseeJerry55 replied to Mike77's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Mike Hi I would consider myself an average to below average builder. Have a lot of shortcomings. The way I look at it if I can't rip myself and feel okay about it then who can. Be realistic about yourself is my motto. JerseeJerry55 -
Good day all, Have questions about builds about 2 separate AMT Heavy Trucks. The GMC General and the LN8000 Short Hauler. Since I stopped building models before the AMT General came out is a difficult build? Also on the Ford Short Hauler what is the easiest process to assemble the cargo box? If I remember back to my non patient this effin trailer is a pain in the caboose days I wasn't good at assembling floors to sidewalls to roofs. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks JerseeJerry56

Okay have just gotten back from a few days at the Jersey Shore and have decided to start the Pete. I have chosen a color for her. The cab is Tamiya Park Green spray lacquer. The fenders, fuel tanks, and the frame will be Tamiya British Green spray lacquer. Have included some photos. As always commentary is welcomed. Thanks for looking. JerseeJerry55

Did you see any issue with the shape of the tires or the fit of the wheels to the tires. -

I guess when you say warped they're egg shaped. I will have to check mine thoroughly when I start my build. If you have to use Moebius' wheel tires I've read that you have to modify them to fit. When you used them was that the case. You'd think Revell would have addressed the issue somewhere along the line. JerseeJerry -

I just received this kit for my birthday and can't wait to start it. Your build is awesome. Just a question did you use the stock wheels/tires? I've read they can be quite difficult to get right and have to be substituted in a number of cases. Once again thanks for your model. Well done. JerseeJerry55 -
Revell Kenworth W-900
JerseeJerry55 replied to Chuck Mols's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
This is an awesome job. I have the Peterbilt 359 Snap Tite one and thought it was strictly glue as well. Quick question I have been forewarned about the wheels/tires being an issue. Did you have any issues getting them straight? -
Okay ordered the stripes from Model Truckin. I liked the Peterbilt PB-130 stripes set for this truck. Requested them in Black w/ Silver outline. That way if I go Maroon, Green, or Blue on the paint job I'm covered. Can't wait to start this project. Will post as I go. Also can anyone suggest where I might find a visor for the cab? JerseeJerry
