Not experienced enough to attempt to modify and use the Moebius tire/wheel kit so I guess I'll have to try and get the kit tires/wheels to work. Can this be done? I'll have to try. To me nothing was more trying than the AMT truck kit axles back in the day. I hated those metal axles I bent more of them than I care to count. Oh well if modeling was easy then everyone would do it. Hey all, Hope all are well. Have a question about color. Just received the Revell Pete 359 as a gift and want to give her a really sharp paint job. Thought about the following 4 colors. Black, Royal Blue, Green, or Red (Maroon). Since I plan on building it as an owner/operator unit I will source the decals from Model Trucking. Any thoughts/suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks for looking. JerseeJerry

Ellen no hate here on your take always appreciate the honesty. Here's my thing. At almost 55 with a wife 2 kids and one of them going into his Junior year of college I have no money for one and have that itch. I should've had one of these cars back 35 years ago but was dirt poor living with my parents and working for about $3.00 an hour and going to night school. Fast forward 35 years and I have the itch. I go to a local spot on Friday nights and see everything I probably could've had. Nova's, Camaro's, Mustangs, Mopar's, GM A Bodies galore and I don't have one. At least not yet. So it's kill myself for 5 years and hope that I still can finance anything between a 67 and a 72 example. I have favorites but will not be picky as long as it runs nice and is in good shape I'll be happy. Or I look at a late model "muscle car" that I can definitely finance. Now I realize I'm not 20 again and I also realize that I'm not gonna pull up to a stop light, or take it the local strip and drop 10's or 11's. I'm just looking at more of doing what I see every Friday night. Roll her in, park her, pop the hood, sit in my folding chair and yak away for a few hours. Not too much to ask. -

Plus my wife has made the fatal mistake of agreeing with me that when I turn 60 (that's just 60 months and 11 days away kids) that I can get a REAL muscle car. Banging my head about a late 1960's through 1970's car or a 2014 through 2017 Mustang, Camaro, or Challeger. The only absolute is that the car WILL NOT be a 1970 Superbird. As you all get to know me you will see that I will obsess about this and charge my mind about 3,752,098 times between then and now on what I really want. I just want to make the right decision. Sometimes you know I can be my worst enemy and I hate that. Jerry -

I feel the same way as I've got a number of WW II era through 1960s era aircraft I'm just sitting on. All in 172 scale. -
Otherwise known as my stash currently numbers 5 cars. I have posted about all 5 in various parts of the forums. Now I have to ask this question. I will be adding number 6 soon so I would like the opinion which is the best late 1970's Trans Am, or Z28 kit? IMHO opinion my collection should have an example of one or more of the following cars: 55-57 Chevy, 1963-66 Corvette, Mopar Hemi mid 1960's, Chevelle SS, and the aforementioned T/A or Z28. As a yute back in the day I probably leaned more towards the 1974 to 1979 Z, but there's something about that Screaming Chicken that catches my eye. As always your thoughts, commentary, laughter, ridicule, and disdain are welcomed. Thanks for looking. Jerry

I have decided my 69 Camaro is getting the white interior since it has the door panels separate. I painted them last night will post pictures ASAP. Jerry

To me there were nice colors the yellow (a guy in my town where I grew up on Long Island had this color) or the Hemi Orange. But I have chosen Petty Blue. I read somewhere that Rustoleum Gloss Maui Blue is the closest. After all it was this car that brought Richard back to represent Plymouth.

The Mail person just dropped of the box that has what I anticipate to be the centerpiece of my efforts. The Monogram 1970 Plymouth Superbird. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this car. IMHO it is what a 1957 Bel Air or 1963 Split Window Vette is to the Chevy guys. Or a 1964 1/2 Mustang is to the Ford guys. This is the one Mopar car that gets my blood going. You either hate or love the style of this car. There is no middle ground. I even have the paint ready to go. Even love the fact that it's got the textured roof included. Thanks for looking and wish me luck. Jerry

Saw these today at a car show deep in the heart of South Jersey. The GTX is the color I've used for the Super Bee. The Super Bee is referrence for the hood.

Question to all the builders out there. If I want to do a white interior do I just paint the seats and paint the interior bucket and dash black and just the seats white?

Question about late model "Muscle Cars". If you were going to build a kit of any of the following which would be your choice: 2010-present Chevy Camaro 2010-present Dodge Challenger 2010-present Ford Mustang Thanks for looking. Jerry

Hey all, Now that you have started to see my attempts at painting (if you think that's been painful to look at wait until you see me tackle the rest of the models) I present my latest work. The Monogram 1969 Super Bee 440 Six Pack. Where I've been trying to get an as perfect as I can paint job I think I'll build this one as a not so perfect one, High Low spots, some roughness to it. The reason for this is there is a local farm that on Friday nights becomes the local hang out for muscle cars. There's a 1969 Coronet R/T in dark green that is my inspiration. It's not in showroom shape and that's where this builds gonna go. I will take photos of the 1:1 and post next week. As always thanks for looking. Jerry

Thanks for the pointers. These 4 should be the test bed for my future builds. The next step after these are built is my 5th kit which I should be receiving any day now. A 1970 Plymouth Superbird. The thing I keep going I've in my mind is the dreaded vinyl top. I want to attempt it again but am hesitant. What I don't understand is the 69 Charger Daytona used a hardtop but the SB all came with vinyl. I guess I'll have to attempt it but will need perseverance luck and will have to read the articles on the Internet. Have to have major confidence on this one. Wish me luck.

Thanks I used Duplicolor Sandable automobile primer. IMHO my biggest concern is the swirl lines on the doors, the dots on the roof near the rear window, and the slight rough patch on the trunk lid as seen in my pictures. When you say knock the edges down where are the edges that you are referring? So to correct the issues should I sand down the areas then reshoot the primer then reshoot the paint ? Or just sand down the areas then reshoot the paint? Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks. Jerry
