Never bought from them directly but have some of their products. Very nice quality

For your enjoyment. You're welcome http://i.imgur.com/rjTdjof.gif It doesn't seem to be working. The link is good, but the site won't let it take you there. Copy and paste, it's worth it.

I might try that. I have some thin paper I can use to block the tamiya tape from sticking to the decals. Thanks.

I have done this before. i have a bad habit of overspraying when I mean to just do light coats. I ruined a 360 body this way. I put the primer on too thick and it didn't cure enough, then I went over it with lacquer. It went through a crazed the plastic as well as the paint.

My biggest hurdle that I now realize, is painting the black trim around the windows and the side, now that I have decaled the car. I'm an idiot. Yours turned out nice. I think if I did this car again, I would paint the red instead of using the decals. I am not going to clear over the decals. I have had so much trouble painting in the past, and with this one being so close to done, i don't want to risk it.

I'm really digging the idea of a drone delivered sandwich right now. I'm starving and we don't have any food

Magnum PI in the background while building an 80's mustang. Perfect. I have experienced crazing when I pain over the primer too soon, and too heavy on the first coat. Like the paint goes through the primer or something.

Some progress on this finally. I have moved my bench and rearranged my room two times since I last worked on this. I started the decals. I would say about 3/4 of the way done with those. I have an 8 month old, so it is hard to find time for building anything recently. I did get the rear hatch to fit pretty well, but in the sanding and polishing stage, I broke the A Pillars. I still have to finish the decals, assemble the glass and attach all the remaining PE pieces.

We get less than an inch of rainfall a year, on average. Today is the second torrential downpour we've had in a month. I am stuck at work, literally. I doubt I'll be able to go home tonight, unless I walk through this and get picked up on the other side of the desert. This is the only road in and out of my work neighborhood. This isn't just water, it's mud, from top to bottom.

Here are the pics I have right now. I haven't done anything with them yet. They look a little rough in the pictures, but they should clean up nicely, just as good or better than a resin casting. The texture is perfect for the casted finish.

Is the A Pillar broken on the driver's side? It's a very nice build. I am finishing up a Ferrari F40 and I broke both A Pillars while polishing. They're so easy to damage.

It's not that, it's the fact that you made two very ignorant comments in attempt to make fun of something. After those were pointed out, you are now redirecting claiming people are being sensitive. It's just that you should understand the thing you are trying to belittle. -
I started a few other threads before about spray booths. I am starting this one for visibility, so anyone looking to do something like this might either benefit from what I did, or find a much smarter, easier way. First things first; I spent entirely way too much money, and way too much time doing this. It was worth every penny to me, but there are definitely cheaper ways. • Why did I do it this way? The main reason is I was given the Artograph booth as a gift. Rather than be ungrateful and return it, I decided to use it and build from it. You could do this without purchasing the booth, but you will still need the fan(s) and base. • My goal: 1. A dust free booth 2. A booth that vents outside 3. A booth I can use inside the house, with a single flip of the switch. 4. A booth with high visibility, viewing area, and easy access. •. What I did; I took a brand new Artograph booth, built an acrylic encloser to mount to the booth so that everything is one single unit. The entire front flips open. What would I have done differently? 1. I might have built a similar enclosure, but one that fits all the way around and just covers the booth and sits on the desk, not actually mounts to the desk. This would make the construction faster and you would not need to drill holes in the expensive booth. The reason I did not do this was 2 reasons: I.) I felt I might push the box, or slide it on the desk when my arms were through the hole. II.) I am limited on desk space and this would consume more area. Materials and tools used: 1. Angle aluminum from Home Depot 2. Acrylic panels from Home Depot 3. Dremel with various bits • The wood router bit that comes with the dremel turned out to be the best tool for cutting the acrylic. I used the router attachment against a straight edge for straight cuts, and the circular cutting tool for round cuts. 4. Drill with drill bits. The aluminum is soft, so my Black & Decker generic bit set worked great for the aluminum and acrylic. 5. 4 foot & 2 foot level 6. Square 7. 12" ruler 8. LOTS of work space to spread out and lay out everything. 9. PATIENT WIFE 10. Beer & whiskey The original plan was to cut and assembly everything, get it all buttoned up and dialed in. Then take it apart and paint the metal all nice and professional like. Now that I am done, I'm done. I'm not touching it. In the future, I will probably build another one, as this one has some cracks in the acrylic, the metal cuts aren't perfect, but I will make sure I have the tools or make plans and have someone else cut it up for me. Gloves will be added to the hand holes once I get them. The only open area is at the front, on the bottom. Rather than cutting a large hold in one of the panels for a filter (which will weaken it significantly), I left this area open for the fans to draw air from. I know it's not completely sealed, but this area is outside the booth and below the fan line, so it will be much more unlikely for dust to be dawn into this area. Wide angle lens with distortion, I don't have alien arms The whole front opens with the 4 small hinges I added to the top I can also stand and look down, it is a very comfortable position either way Bird's eye view my corner

I prefer V8 muscle, but I can appreciate a good machine when I see one. You're making fun of cars you know nothing about. They aren't front wheel drive -

They aren't providing traction? What do you think they are doing? Some cars get driven hard and do benefit from the spoiler. What about the Cobra R, what do you think that wing is for? There are some pretty ignorant comments on this website from people that claim to be car enthusiasts. -

Electric cars and state and federal gas taxes?
Quick GMC replied to clovis's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
they are already trying to implement a sun tax for solar panels, so I'm sure they'll think of something. -

re-design your work bench. Make it different, organize it and it will come to you. -
I bought some 2 weeks ago. I forget what size I'll have to check. Very little cleanup needed. I haven't done anything with them yet but they look very nice. I think I bought the 2.5" turbos. I got them for the Nissan r390gt1 kit but they are way too big. They would be good as huge turbos on a small block or medium turbos on a big block. I would recommend them

Paint Booths & Safe Ventilation?
Quick GMC replied to Synister's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
After building several booths and now having a store bought one with modifications, I would say a spray booth under $100 wouldn't be worth it. To keep the cost down, I would build your own, but I don't think $100 would cut it, for a proper booth -
And how does this post help?
