  1. that's pretty good
  2. That stuff looks incredible. Unfortunately I don't build those types of cars. I am interested in that LSX dress up kit though. Are there any pics of the LSX dress up kit in a build?
  3. Pretty much what James said. Bags of peanuts aren't cheap to ship. They don't weigh much, but they take up a lot of room on the truck. If you buy them locally, they are more expensive. Same for boxes. They weigh a lot though. A lot of people want to chalk it up to the cost of doing business. it is, but it has to be accounted for. Some add it into the cost of the product. That makes the product cost more. You can add it to the shipping. then people complain about shipping. Add it as a standalone fee, then people question why there is a fee. My #1 product that we manufacture and sell is $9.95. It also costs $9.95 to ship it. It sucks, but it's heavy. People complain about the shipping all the time. nothing I can do about it.
  4. I wonder if it can be used to fill sink marks and stuff like that. Filling gaps between the bumpers and body, etc. That would be so nice.
  5. This looks very nice. I have this kit I picked up with some OOP detail parts. I'm waiting until my skills improve though. Yours turned out fantastic
  6. I had a defective part once. it turned into poop after my dog ate it. Seriously though, my dog ate the engine from my 360 Modena. I sent them an email explaining what happened and they sent me a new fret with parts, no fuss. They actually didn't even respond, it just showed up in the mail like 6 days later.
  7. they aren't nasty when you have a mutual understanding and everyone enjoys some humor. Humor is relative.
  8. I've done the horn to the turn signals a few times over the years.
  9. The guys that deliberately take up two or more spots piss me off, but I stopped getting worked up over people not parking in the lines. A few times over the last year or so I would see a car crooked in a spot, clearly a poor parking job. I would think to myself, Man what a jerk. Then I see a little old lady in a walker, or someone needing help getting out. You never know who, or why they parked like that. But if they park at an angle across 2 or more, it's obviously on purpose. That definitely wasn't directed towards you or anyone in particular in here. I just saw the mention of cars getting keyed.
  10. you're comparing firecrackers and gas to what I posted? engine wasn't running when we blew up the water jug. Maybe I wasn't clear on the airbag. The truck was in park. It was midnight. he couldn't have driven anywhere without his lights on. Lights on-then drive. Other instructors were in on it and the "victim" was the biggest prankster in the whole place. Options were discussed, this is what we decided on. If you want to call me a moron and idiot, that's fine, but you're reaching.
  11. I was thinking about some pranks and other things that happened in my brief career in the automotive field. i know a bunch of you have, or still do work in a shop environment. There is nothing that breeds pranksters more than downtime in a shop full mechanics. I have so many, but a few that stand out: 1. We took a 1 gallon anti freeze bottle and cleaned it out. Drilled a hole in the cap and epoxied on an air fitting. Filled the jug with water and sealed the cap on. We hooked up an air hose and turned the air valve on the wall, off. One of the guys was working on a Dodge Stealth. He had it on the lift with the wheels about 6" off the ground, hook was up and he was looking over the engine and poking around. When he started messing with the belt and pulleys, we slid the jug under the car and hit the valve on the wall. Water bomb! 2. At UTI, we had one instructor that would mess with everyone. He was the ultimate prankster. I was in the night phase, there was about 300 guys going to school 7pm-12am. We hatched a plan to get him back. •We had one other instructor on it. He used the excuse of driving a motorcycle to borrow the guys truck. it was about to rain and he wanted to go to the store to get some food during lunch he asked to borrow the guy's Ford Ranger for 15 minutes. Now we had the keys. •during lunch a few of us went out to the parking lot and got into his truck. We had a side impact airbag from another car. One of the guys zip-tied it to the bottom of his leaf spring on the drivers side, facing down. I wired it to his headlight switch. •300 students, plus about 15 instructors knew about this. Everyone except him. •At midnight, we're done. Everyone rushes outside and stands in the shadows. literally everyone was standing in the bushes that made up the perimeter of the parking lot, except a few people acting casual sitting in their cars. Instructor comes out, gets in his truck and turns it on. he shuts the door and his cell phone rings. He's talking to his wife. "aww baby i love you, i miss you, you want something to eat? Smoochy smoochy mushy stuff" At this point, the suspense is unbearable. Then he turns his headlights on. BOOOOM! He screams like a woman, his phone falls out of his hand outside and he just sits there for a second. It lift the rear corner of the truck off the ground by about an inch. He gets out and here comes the entire school swarming out of the shadows cracking up. He took it well, but we didn't hear a peep out of him for about 4 months. 3. This one I heard second hand. A guy I knew was telling me about a shop he used to work at. one of the guys bought a new truck, i think a Ford Ranger. He was bragging about the gas mileage to the point of being annoying. So to mess with him, he would put about a quart of gas in the guy's tank every day. He had a short drive to and from work. So for the longest time the guy would not shut up about his gas mileage. Finally, after about a week and half, to two weeks, he stopped putting the gas in. Then the guy was complaining about how bad his mileage was getting. Classic.
  12. parking like a jerk warrants some sort of retribution, but keying, or damaging someone's car is childish. If you key someone's car, you're a bigger Ahole than they are.
  13. And then you give the deer in headlights look. "What's the matter? It was a joke!" Arms crossed "well it didn't sound like a joke" I find myself in this position often, but Jokes on her, my garage has A/C and I have plenty of stuff to do out there. Muahaha
  14. Boondock Saints
  15. "Look whatcha ya did, ya little jerk!"
  16. well that clears that up then. My apologies to Joe.
  17. I have no idea what you're talking about. What does walking in an alley with dark clothing have to do with rage?
  18. I'm just wondering if it's a legit site. Some sites aren't well run and the business practices are shady. Not shipping etc. I'll give it a shot. Worst that can happen is I lose $10-$12
  19. I should say that took a ton of sanding and polishing, bit I love the authentic look of the enamel paint
  20. If you think pot makes people get out of their cars wanting to fight, you've been severely misinformed. Pot stays in your system for weeks. The fact that they found it in his system means absolutely nothing
  21. I found it here in the US. Has anyone ordered from these guys before? http://www.mehobbies.com/fine-surface-primer-in-pink-by-tamiya.html
  22. I can't seem to find any blacken it, are there any recommended metal blackener out there for blackening photo etch?
  23. I suspect that what I described in my post is what's happening. when I first started my site, I had never done anything like that before. So for single items I would just put 1lb. UPS charges me the same whether it's 2oz or 1lb. The problem is when you have light items like that, 2 pieces with an actual weight of 4oz is now 2lbs because of the system. I've long since fixed it, but it's easy to overlook on some items if you have a lot on your site. sounds like they're taking care of it.
