  1. The thread started with the owner of the forum asking for suggestions
  2. I would love to see a full detail 1999 Viper GTS
  3. can you post a pic of what it looks like? I might have one
  4. What the hell are you talking about? GM, Ford, Volvo and others have stepped in and replaced cars for people after passing the 1 million mile mark
  5. Harry's original post in 2010 seems to be my favorite suggestion so far. Each section get's it's own showcase/glass, Muscle, Road, Rods, Trucks/SUV's. Caminos and Ranchero's are cars, Ute's are cars as well. Jeeps? Trucks/SUV's. Model A pickups? If Harry built it, it probably belongs in the trucks section. Most everyone else builds them as rods.
  6. I have one, magnifying lamp, but I can't use it. I do a lot better without it for some reason, I can seem to focus and I lose hand/eye coordination. Maybe when my vision starts to decline later in life it will help, but right now it's more of a nuisance for me.
  7. Box art can sway me. For example, the AMT Nova pro street build on the box is a huge turnoff, but seeing other peoples builds on here is what led me to buy it Nowadays, whether or not the box art affects me, I check builds online
  8. Funny. I got the same thing a few days ago, about a day or two after I posted in this thread.
  9. I have a one year old. I go to work at 630 in the morning. My build time is typicall from 10 when my wife goes to bed until midnight or so, sometimes one in the morning. I live of 5 hours of sleep. If you want to build that bad you'll make time
  10. It snows in southern california and arizona all the time, but not usually at or below sea level. Ihave family in sedona az and its not odd to see snow there. There are several ski resorts in southern ca. But where it snowed was pretty much sea level. We are below sea level and it snowed decently here back in 1979. We didnt get any this year but it was close
  11. Nothing. We had one of the warmest years on record this year.
  12. Supposed to reach freezing Temps here in Palm Springs tonight. Snow came halfway down the snow Jacinto mountains on the palm Springs side, which is crazy. We never see freezing Temps here. Mid 40s is pretty low for this area.
  13. I think Gunmetal wheels would really set this thing off. That paint is very nice.
  14. just start the same type of thread in the workbench section. "My uncompleted builds of 2014"
  15. It took you two years to get an SD card? The cheap SD cards are useless, you should stick with the brand name ones from a reputable store. The the 32 and 64GB ones are constantly on sale. I picked up a 32GB Ultra Plus for $24 at best buy twice this year. You can order them online too. Samsung brand is good too.
  16. The F-150 is the most American, domestic brand vehicle. More of it is made and assembled here than any other domestic brand.
  17. Does anyone here have an idea of what the molds cost to make and obtain? If you do, then you understand why the molds and everything else are made overseas. Molds are incredibly expensive.
  18. Kevins not a bad guy. Whatever happened that affected his business is unfortunate. From he small amount I'm out its not worth the effort for me to chase. If you have issues communicating just keep emailing him. In the end I believe he will come through but I'm over it at this point
  19. I used to order from Strada almost exclusively. Without a doubt, Strada has gone downhill. i used to get stuff within a couple of weeks, Kevin would answer emails, etc. Now I'm at least 6 months in from my last order with no communication. It took him weeks to answer my last email several months ago.. I've abandoned any hope that I'll have my order completed. when you make your own custom products, i can understand that it might take a while, but Strada is a distributor. If the manufacturer doesn't have something or it's on back order, send a freakin email to let people know.
  20. I think they just barely released them. i haven't tried them, but I have used a good amount of HD stuff and for the most part it's flawless. Some of the things they make don't work that well or are very difficult to get right. I would imagine it would take some skill to get those chrome window and fender trim to look just right without having the edges sticking out. They do make quality stuff though, i wouldn't hesitate to buy them if you were interested.
  21. I have a different system designed for filling chips in granite. It's about $80, but has 5 syringes of glue and some polish. It gets hard within a minute or so. the kit includes the UV light for curing. So far it works great but i haven't tried it on models.
  22. Clearly you should start your own model company
  23. Spaghetti with Parmesan cheese on top in the microwave. Smells terrible, tastes delicious. texture wise, mushrooms. Taste, olive and mushrooms are not in my food vocabulary.
  24. He's 12, give the kid a break. If you're trading with a 12 year old and expect it to go smooth, that's on you. It sounds like he's trying to get some stuff worked out. There definitely should be some age guidelines though, to protect both parties.
  25. for me, the one car that comes to mind is a BOSS 429 with the blackest black possible. Corvettes, white with black wheels. ferraris, obviously red, but a 328 in Azuro Blue looks killer http://www.carpictures.com/vehicle/05FE0025105240/Ferrari-328-GTS-blue-1989
