  1. I'm able to put pics into my posts now straight from my computer which is my most important concern. It still doesn't solve my album gallery issues but that's secondary.
  2. I don't use a photo hosting site, I just want to upload photos from my computer into my gallery or a post like I've done for years. I thought about deleting my whole album and starting over, but there's not even an option to delete the album, it'd all have to be done one at a time. I've even tried a workaround...putting a photo in my gallery on another site and copying and pasting the URL into the "insert other media" window. All I get is the white "insert image from URL" screen and the spinning circle.
  3. Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but is anyone else having photo problems here? My gallery just shows black screens with X's on them, I get error messages when I try to upload photos into my album or into a post. I can't seem to get a reply from anyone at MCM. I just want to have an album again and be able to put pics in my posts, especially with the contest coming up. Help!
  4. I like it too! It has a classic Pete look and the detailing you've done to it really make it stand out.
  5. Looks like the 1/16 KW Aerodynes are out. There's a listing for them on Ebay.
  6. I was wondering the same thing, and also how close it comes to chrome or if it's just the usual "shiny silver" that we get from spray-on chrome paint.
  7. Looks good, you gotta love a blank canvas!
  8. Looks interesting, it'd be nice if they had a website.
  9. Being an AMT maybe we'd see this one at Hobby Lobby. Hmmm...how many 40%-off coupons can I use in one day?
  10. Tower is showing late September now. Good things come to those who wait!
  11. That looks really sharp, great job! Although I haven't done any recently I've been building mostly 1/16 for years. I find them easier to work on as my fingers and eyes get older! The drawback to 1/16 is the limited subject matter but with the advent of 3D printing it looks like the aftermarket can compensate for that a bit.
  12. I've wondered about the quality of those 3D-printed cabs. I see the Mack is on Ebay and the KW Aerodyne COE was on there recently. I'm not a huge fan of resin so how do these compare? Are they closer to resin or styrene? The subject matter is so limited in 1/16 that I welcome these as long as they're practical to use.
  13. That's what I was hoping for, thank you. If you start adding categories and tons of rules and regulations it just sucks the fun out of it!
  14. I might be in for this depending on the rules. Would it be a simple winner-takes-all contest, or would there be categories for conventional and COE? Would it be 1/24-1/25 only? Would it be tractor only or tractor-trailer? I have to admit that the big Stepp's wrecker I did a couple of months ago was my first real dive back into 1/25 in many years after doing so many 1/16 trucks. Over those years my eyes and fingers got used to working with 1/16 parts so the little stuff was more of a challenge than I thought it'd be. I know there are some great builders here who can pop out a show-winning rig in a couple of weeks if they wanted to but the 10-month time frame allows everyone ample time. Like many here my ability to paint depends on the weather so starting in January is a good idea.
  15. Outstanding as always William! Whenever I see you're work it really drives me to want to get back into 1/16, which I plan to do soon. I learned one thing building my 1/25 Stepp's "Mega Wrecker"...my eyes and fingers ain't what they used to be. I should probably stick to 1/16.
  16. 3 down, 1 to go...all they need to reissue now is the 1/16 flatbed trailer.
  17. I didn't see it on the road...does "Shockwave" count? My wife and I went to see the Blue Angels perform today and Shockwave was there. Still cool after all these years!
  18. I asked a guy from RM about it a few months ago and he said "maybe in a couple of years." I thought his answer was strange given that in a couple of years this current flood of reissues will probably be over. Apparently they have the same thinking. I welcome the Aerodynes and I bet they don't sit around unsold like the regular 1/16 Kenworths.
  19. One word comes to mind...sweeeeeet!!!
  20. Thanks guys, I appreciate the kind words. I like to build but I don't have a lot of room to display stuff, so this one is on Ebay for someone else to enjoy. Unfortunately I didn't take any in-progress photos as I just kind of did this one a little at a time. I don't know how practical a wrecker this long would be in the real world but it doesn't really matter. I don't obsess over every little nut and bolt or whether each part is painted exactly how it's supposed to be on a real truck. To me that takes the fun out of modeling and makes it a chore. I did learn one thing about dipping my toes back in the 1/25 pool...my eyes and fingers aren't what they used to be!
  21. After abandoning two previous wrecker builds I figured I'd better wait until I finished one before I posted anything! I just got done with this one yesterday...a Stepp's Towing Can-Do 21"-long "Megawrecker". Enjoy!
  22. A Transtar II day cab I did years ago...
  23. Nice work on the COE! I used to have the FM version.
