Really really nice job on a tough kit
-
So this was inspired by the car that the Martin Brothers built in Iron Resurrection. I cut the rockers off below the body line and replaced them with ribbed evergreen sheet. Then I cut the scoops into the quarter panels. I put a 3D printed Mercury MARINE LS7 DOHC engine in it. Had the rims made for it.

One of my favorite 70s Monogram kits. Painted a pearl orange I whipped up. Camera makes it look redder than it is. Chromed the sidepipes and switched wheels for some printed daisies.Other than that box stock.

Cool oddball build!!

It’s basically a resin copy of the old MPC Yarborough Laguna with an AMT nose bumper and hood. I absolutely hate the AMT kits huge wheelwells and goofy completely wrong roofline. The MPC body is light years better. So rather than scare up a rare AMT 73 kit and a scarce MPC Yarborough kit just use a resin. Way cheaper. This isn’t the best body I’ve ever seen but I’ve had it for years. Time to use it. -

Well really it’s a 70 but it’s the closet to my wife’s uncles car I could get. Basically box stock with the exception of a 4speed conversion. I also eliminated the center console as his car is console delete.

Yeah it’s a little long in the face shall we say.

Never mind I see it. Never noticed it.

What’s incorrect about it?

This has sat painted in a box for easy ten years. So I decided a printed set of wheels and tires would motivate me. It did!!

Nicely done

The MPC is shaped much better. The grille is set back better along with the headlight covers -
I’m specifically interested in doing a MkII. Which kit is the best of the group fit wise?

No sir this is a copy of the MPC 73 Laguna nose. GKS Charger casts it -
This started as a MPC Slantnose Laguna. I added a resin 73-74 frt bumper and reworked the back to look like a 74. It’s on a stretched Tbird chassis with a big Chevy out of a Motion Camaro kit. PPP wheels and Powerslide decals.
