Bennys Laguna
yellowsportwagon replied to yellowsportwagon's topic in Stock Cars (NASCAR, Super Stock, Late Model, etc.)
The MPC is shaped much better. The grille is set back better along with the headlight covers -
I’m specifically interested in doing a MkII. Which kit is the best of the group fit wise?

No sir this is a copy of the MPC 73 Laguna nose. GKS Charger casts it -
This started as a MPC Slantnose Laguna. I added a resin 73-74 frt bumper and reworked the back to look like a 74. It’s on a stretched Tbird chassis with a big Chevy out of a Motion Camaro kit. PPP wheels and Powerslide decals.

Really nice build!!

Dash and console are decals. Door panels are just thinned tan paint over bare metal foil.

So I had a leftover body from a 72 Hurst Olds hardtop project. I combined it with a current 71 kit and ended up with this. Added some 3D printed wheels and brakes.

Box stock aside from wheel tire combo and aluminum tube exhaust tips. I’ll say this kit is excellent aside from the kit exhaust tips are way wrong and the front wheel openings are too big and not shaped quite right. Kit fits well and looks good done

Oh man outstanding build. Love the engine compartment and even more so the stance.

I would guess a Rambler 327. -

Wood Brothers Montego
yellowsportwagon replied to Ben269's topic in WIP: Stock Cars (NASCAR, Super Stock, Late Model, etc.)
Referred to as a Cyclone. The grilles however make it a Montego. Cyclone grilles we’re different. Aside from that a Cyclone was nothing but a Montego with different trim. You could even get the 429 engines in a regular Montego. -
I like it!

The more I see cars with bigger rims the more 14-15” rims look puny to me!
