    Yep The hot water will get under the water based glue and with no persuasion with a soft toothbrush,. It dissolves,... basically,.. leaving virgin chrome try it you like it

    Use Acrylic Clear spray over the sheet and then ,..when dry, cut decals close to colour and use as normal Try it on a small unused decal to start Cheers

    The 64 had a separate nose piece ,... I thats what your talking about I sprayed it by it's self then mounted at final,.. ass. Be aware it should be sanded down (outside edges) to allow for paint thikness. Let us know with pics what you need done Cheers
