  1. After sanding the tread I usually hit the sidewalls with Testors Dullcoat
  2. Thnx guys I came across it on KIJIJI and dropped everything to build it!! Great detail in the kit, but had to add,.... of course,.. some things just weren't there, clutch cable, skid plate, etc. I am putting a DG exhaust on it,.. just figuring out the right colour, weathering tech. on it So far ,...Floquil F110104, then Tamiya clear blue, then Tamiya clear red, then Tamiya clear orange,then..... Ok maybe just flat black,.... Nope its gonna be brass Get back to ya later Cheers

  4. Almost done on this one Had to add a clutch cable ,.. and skid plate,.. Got some decals on,.. Will microset again to get rid of silvering on edges,... A bit more weathering to do to those rims,.. I'm thinking Dullcote I will post more when done Happy modeling Cheers
  5. Ya the Tamiya kit I'm working on had beautiful satin chrome (aluminium) Pro link, forks, etc. with flash lines and sink marks where they would be Very visible So yep strip and alcad Good luck with yours I love that FatBoy look Cheers

  10. So tried the white glue on outer rims ..Like that trick!! I brushed over the edges and down the outside of the barrel Waited 3 days.... Left the chrome on the pegasus 23' "T's" and shot 'em with rattle can Duplicolor Universal Black Waited 3 days ... scraped the white glue on the outsides (unseen) And soaked the wheels in HOT water Qtip with virgin lemon juice(just kidding) Thnx again Fred!   14. Ok !!... got the rear end on,.. got a bit of weathering to do yet Not going to muddy it up too much, sort of cleaned after a ride,... Had to move the sending unit from directly behind spark(wire didn't bend nicely) to frame mount,... All the 450 pics I could find show it here,.. Whew,... I scraped the spokes on this rear wheel and ran a thinned Testor's Metallic silver to hide the BLACK plastic in about 2.5 hours Thought about respoking for about...... 1/2 a second ..... Next time tho Thnx for looking QC+C's welcome Cheers

  17. Got the engine done and installed Frame is clear coated Scratched a new shock reservoir and gusset out of aluminium tube and sheet styrene.

  19. Back in the 80's I wanted one of these sooo bad I'd be dead by know if wishes came true... Anyways,... I finally found one that didn't kill the bank and won't kill me! Tamiya's 1/12th, 1983!! release First bike build so , just out of box. Back fender in clear as a test Gotta wait for colour to gas out Before clear as it did orange peel the rear fender The Tamiya kit includes enough detail to be presentable,... swapping out the clear plastic filter to something more durable,... Surprising amount of flash, sinks and filing to this kit...being Tamiya and all,.... but older, fast release (represents the '82 Honda)!! Spoke flash ,.... UGGH Anyway,.. having fun Cheers
