WOW...Where's the step ladder to get into that thing ?? That's how I remember the cars when I was growing up That's a cool build, 2 thumbs up on that one... STEVE

Here is "Chopper's" 50 Cadillac Custom
scubadiver411 replied to ViperDave's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Looks like another award winner from "Chopper" I have been admiring his work in the pages of model mags for several years, and yet to see one in person (maybe someday). I can't wait to see this one finished STEVE -
Sharp... Unique... Quite Interesting... I like it A LOT STEVE

Another nice pic... but on a different thought.... how about using a piece of black velvet or some other cloth to drape over the bleacher bench ?? A thought just popped into my head.... you could make a 3 sided box that will fit over the bench and paint the outside black wrinkle or primer black, then you can carry your models out there in the box, flip it over the bench and put your cars on there for pics Just a thought, but keep up the great work and innovative ideas you have for your pics... I enjoy looking at them. STEVE

What RAINBOW ?????? All I see is another GREAT looking MoPar in the pic What color is that one... light charcoal gray ?? STEVE
-
That's a sharp looking build there... your hood seems to fit better than mine does STEVE
-
That looks really sharp so far. A little BMF will really set it off, good job on this one. I see you have the same hood fit problem that I have with mine. STEVE
-
Looks good, is that a factory orange color (G0-Mango, Hemi)?? What are your plans for this one... box stock, mix it up a bit ?? I'm always interested in a good MoPar build I have about 10 WIP MoPars I'm looking forward to seeing this one done... STEVE

That's really sharp, you did a great job on the weathering. You are more than welcome to share more if you got'em... STEVE

Ford F-150 Lightning pickup with retractable top
scubadiver411 replied to Peter Lombardo's topic in Model Cars
I'm....... SPEECHLESS....... STEVE -
Now THAT'S something you don't see everyday That's interesting.... you must have a boring job to sit and think about models STEVE
-
I, personally, like your builds, except for that "sleeper", but it's for your wife , I like all of your MoPars.... Anyway, with this one, if you do plan on re-painting this one, what about a Candy Apple Red or Candy Blue, or maybe a Tangelo color, those should help them "stand-out" in a crowd By the way, keep up the good work... I had trouble when I tried to post a pic here after they changed the forum also, but I didn't give up soo easily... Here's what I did... Start your post thread and write what you want, Minimize this forum and bring up your Photobucket site and pick a pic you want, move the "hand" to IMG Code and LEFT CLICK just to the left of the actual code box. A little yellow box will come up "Copied", then minimize your photobucket and bring the forum back up, left click to get the line where you want it, then just right click and a box will come up and you select "paste" then you should have a picture, Hope this helps... If you are going "old-school" with the big and little centerlines, I would use the '67 engine, but if you might lean toward more of a "touring" look and the tires are sucked up into the wheel wells, then I would go with the magnum engine. But, whatever you do, you can never go wrong with a MoPar STEVE

Decals OVER Future Floor Shine??
scubadiver411 replied to scubadiver411's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Thanks to everyone that has replied, I feel much more at ease knowing that I can put decals on my model now without worrying to much I'll just use plain water without setting solutions. STEVE -
Well, since you don't have an airbrush (yet), you can also try misting a light grey primer from a varying degree of distance right from a rattle can. I sent you a PM about the 'Cuda. STEVE

Not only do you build great looking MoPars... but you build garage dio's also ???? You the MAN I was just looking at your photobucket yesterday and ran across these pics, they are really nice. I like the cars outside of the Texaco waiting, they are way Actually, they are ALL nice builds. Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing more of your builds. STEVE

Hey bub... nice pics... have you thought about using an airbrush to shade and highlight the cotton to "tune it down" a bit, because the burn-out smoke is not truly white. I think a little shading with light grey would go a long way with the "smoke" effect. Keep up the great work... I think your models are awesome.... STEVE

I have heard about the "Future Floor Shine" being sprayed onto models, so I thought I would try it. It turned out pretty nice, but my question is.... Are you able to apply water-slide decals over the this with no ill-effects ?? I sprayed my car last fall and I have decided to add some decals to make it look a little better, but I have been hesitating because I don't know how it will react with the floor shine. Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated. STEVE
-
Let me try this one again..... And here are two that are still in progress.... Hopefully this worked this time.... STEVE
-
bub... I have seen your photo album with all of your 'Cuda's, and I'm going to be upfront with your right away.... mine won't come close to being as nice as yours, but here you go anyway I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED, BUT MY PICS WOULDN'T POST UP IN HERE STEVE

I think you should leave the decals off of the back, just add some BMF and a little detail painting, and you will have a sharp looking 'Cuda STEVE
