  1. AMT's Ford F100 built box stock and finished in matte black and red rattle can finishes. Cheers....Geoff
  2. Tamiya's Subaru WRX World Rally Car kit built as a Victorian (Australia) Police Highway Patrol Vehicle. Kit box stock except for treaded tires swapped in from parts box. Light bar and antennae all scratchbuilt with homemade decals and number plates "MAD 555" as a tribute to Subaru Rall Team's famous 555 sponsorship. I built this many years ago and thought it deserved an airing. Cheers......Geoff
  3. Thanks guys, Yes it's now a 40 year old build that has stood the test of time. I've got two more in my stash that will be built some day too. Cheers....Geoff
  4. Thanks JT. Still waiting for paint shop tp tell me they can do my colour in a spray can. Also, the weather has been fine so I have been working outside on some fencing. Hopefully I'll be back at the bench later this week. Cheers.....Geoff
  5. Thanks David. This kit was a real pleasure to build. Highly recommended.
  6. Thanks Nigel, Yes a good spotto on the disc brakes. The theme was purely from my imagination, turning the window sided Caravan into a Panel Van or Shaggin' Wagon as we call them here in Oz. Cheers....Geoff
  7. Thanks Guys, Appreciate your comments. Cheers.......Geoff
  8. Thanks Guys, Appreciate your comments. Cheers....Geoff
  9. Yes Espo, It's on the southern side of the Great Divide, which runs right up the east coast of Australia. Cheers.....Geoff
  10. Teardown now complete and work started on rollcage additions. For some reason my superglue isn't holding too well unless left overnight to cure completely....might be time to buy some new stuff. Cheers....Geoff
  11. Built this a while ago and recently added the decals and surfboards. Made the decals and plates on my laser printer and the surfboards are carved from balsa wood with sheet plastic fins. Built as a slammer with Fujimi wheels and tires from the 1/25 scale Lindberg Dodge Caravan snap kit. Paint is Duplicolor. Enjoy!! Cheers....Geoff
  12. Built this one many, many years ago from the original release 1/12 scale kit by Tamiya. Built box stock with a Guards Red rattle can finish by Testors from memory (no clear coat). Enjoy! Cheers....Geoff
  13. Thanks Cliff, Just glad to finish it. Cheers....Geoff
  14. Hi Snake, It's an Australianism that means you wouldn't want to be dead ..... - for all the tea in China - for anything in the whole world... Get it? Cheers......Geoff
  15. Wouldn't want to be dead for quids!!! I wake up to this every day...... my slice of heaven. Cheers......Geoff
  16. Ok Guys, It's been over 12 months on the bench but I'm calling this one pretty much done....just needs a rear screen and number plate (maybe a driver too) and a bit of detail paint for door handles, window trim and wipers. See WIP section for build details. Essentially started with a resin body and an early AMT Stock Car kit. Could not believe how well the two fitted together.....almost perfect match!!! Scratchbuilt rollcage, switch panel, handbrake, shifter mount, and MSD ignition box behind seat. Exterior details include aluminium tube exhausts, printed paper wilwood calipers and disc brakes, fujimi wheels and tires, and a plastic sheet fuel cell underneath with chart tape straps. Enjoy!! And as always your comments and feedback most welcome. Cheers....Geoff
  17. It's been raining all night and all day so I'm ensconsed away in the cave working on my models. Setting up the glasshouse in the Falcon - front and rear screens and side windows cut from blister packaging for the flat pieces and the side of a Pepsi 2lt bottle for the curved screens. Tacked in place with superglue then a bead of PVA run in to secure all around. Cheers.....Geoff
  18. Hi Guys, Here's a couple of comparison photos showing the conversion from Coupe to 2 door Sedan body. I'm wondering if there is anybody interested in a resin copy. I would consider getting it done if the interest was there. Let me know what you think. Original body shape is the white one. My modified sedan is the primered one. Cheers.....Geoff
  19. Guys, There's going to be a slight delay in getting this one done as the Covid-19 restrictions here in Victoria, Australia mean that I can't get to the paint shop to pick up the colours I need for this car. So my focus will shift to crafting the air dam and rear wing, and rest of the rollcage for the interior. Pics will follow as I make some progress. Cheers.....Geoff
  20. Further strip down today and masking of body shell... I only hope I remember how to put it all back together!! Had to use the good old Dewalt to drill out a couple of overtight screws. Cheers......Geoff
  21. Nice job. I like the mismatched panels. They certainly do give it that resto in the making look. Cheers....Geoff
  22. Thanks Daniel. Appreciate your comments. Cheers...Geoff
  23. Oh and by the way, in case you're wondering, that's my wife's 1/12 scale dollhouse in the background. I'm running out of bench space so have muscled in on hers ......while she's not around to see!!!
  24. A friend of mine asked if I could replicate his friend's track car, a BMW M3 GTS with track mods and a unique lime green wrap. See pics. Found the Kyosho model online for a reasonable price. She's now dismantled and being prepped for interior mods and a new paint job. Need to commission the decals and make new aero aids front and rear. Also need to source carbon fiber decals for hood and trunk. Pics show wheels and interior tray primed. Everything came apart pretty well with little fuss. The wrap color is Avery Gloss Lime Green. Cheers....Geoff
  25. Well it's been a rainy day outside which meant some time at the workbench. Everything is done aside from fitting the glasshouse in. I'm using blister pack clear plastic for the side windows (flat) and Pepsi bottle for the front and rear screens (curved). Ecstatic at how the NASCAR kit fitted the resin body shell perfectly like it was made for it. A few imperfections in the paint but hey it all adds to the build. Happy with interior details and the disc brakes and calipers. They really set the wheels off. I think I've done justice to the real car too, even though this was never built as an exact replica but more of a theme. As always, your comments are most welcome. Cheers....Geoff
