  1. Thanks guys. More work on the interior.
  2. Stunning! You did a fantastic job of rescuing the old Caddy.
  3. Seat are from the Revell Chevy Silverado
  4. Here's my latest project. Monogram 55 drop top.
  5. Wow, some really cool engines posted here. Here's an AMT 2004 Pontiac GTO LS2 I'm putting into a '55 Chevy Bel Air. The car will be pink and white hence the pink covers and white plenum.
  6. Not currently. I had a 1988 300TE wagon for about 7 years until I sold it last year. It was a great car for it's age. Got me hooked on the brand. I now drive a W210 '96 E320, W208 2001 CLK430 (wife's), W163 2002 ML500 (daughter's) which replaced her W202 1999 C280 that was totaled and another daughter recently traded her 96 C280 for a beemer. Obviously I'm a little Benz crazy but I just love them. For older cars they're still comfortable, fast, safe and IMHO look good. I usually DIY any issues that come up. Part of my current job is driving late model cars mostly American and Asian brands. At the end of each day I feel like none of those newer cars come close to the level of comfort and responsiveness of my old Mercs. A lot of people think MB's are expensive to maintain but if you're handy with a wrench and know where to get parts, they're no more expensive than any other used car. They say "The best or nothing". Even if it's a beater, it's the best beater.
  7. Thanks Steven. Found a set of four on ebay. Works out to about $6.25 each shipped.
  8. That's really cool. I've been thinking of doing a 1:1 for some time now but maybe I'll start with a scale one first. Great job!
  9. Very cool '55 and beautiful paint job. I'm working on a convertible right now. By the way, how's that W124 running?
  10. Absolutely gorgeous! What did use for the headlight swap?
  11. Are there any oval K&N style air intake filters like these out there? Thanks
  12. Long shot but, is anyone casting the Cadillac flying goddess hood ornaments...
  13. Thanks! I used Rustoleum Grey Primer Sealer, several coats of Krylon Fusion Red, which goes on really smooth and a few coats of Rustoleum Crystal Clear enamel. Then rubbed with Meguiar's Ultimate Compound and finished with Meguiar's Gold Class Clear Coat wax.I wasn't happy with the Rustoleum clear. The way the nozzle is designed it would leave speckles on the areas that were sprayed as I moved to the next area. That's why I had to rub it out a few times with the compound to get it nearly smooth.
  14. Thanks for the compliments!
  15. Finally finished. This kit took a lot of "massaging" to get everything to fit right. Thanks R.J.!
  16. I just finished this one but didn't post in progress pics so here are a few...
