  1. Very nice! Gotta try some of that paint.
  2. I could use one for a dually project.
  3. Looks good! Nice build.
  4. Thanks guys! Just a quick update. Soaked in Purple Power and removed the lower body side moldings. Next is to even up the cuts, glue it together, primer, filler and sanding.
  5. Thanks for the tip diesel. That may be the solution.Looks really good that El Camino. Nice dually WIP to..
  6. Cool as ice cream
  7. Wow! Great save!. Looks really good.
  8. Thanks Jeff. I've seen that kit but I'd hate to cut it up just for the flares. I may get one someday for another project. I wish there was an HD Silverado conversion kit.
  9. Anyone make fender flares that will fit the AMT Tahoe? Thanks
  10. Thanks guys. It's actually going smoother than I thought. Dissected! Now to remove the extra inches from the roof, rear doors & behind the wheel openings. As long as I remember to measure (at least) twice & cut once, I should be OK. Thanks for tuning in. Keeps me inspired.
  11. This is the look I'm aiming for... Thanks David. I've been thinking about it for a few years myself. Finally got around to getting it started.
  12. Nice! I agree with Slusher though, tires could use a little more meat but I get it. Still a very nice looking truck.
  13. Here's my latest project. Hopefully I'll finish it before the A.D.D. kicks in. Taking the AMT 96 Chevy Tahoe Snap kit & converting it to the 2 door version. I've seen a couple of people here do this in the past Here's what I started with and where I am so far. I removed the step below the doors and cut the b-pillars just behind the front doors back to the c-pillars. I'll move the c-pillars up to the front doors then cut about 6 scale inches vertically from the rear doors and about 5 scale inches vertically between the rear wheel openings and the taillights. The leading edge of the blue tape is where I plan to cut the 11 inches out of the roof & move it forward. Once the body's done I'll focus on the interior tub & chassis.
  14. Yikes! "Cant we all just get along?" Debate can be good and clearly emotions run deep on both sides of this one. But why get so personal and disrespectful? Oh, and Ron Hamilton is The Man when it comes to model building and intellect. Together we stand, divided we... Never mind.
  15. Well here's my $0.02 before this gets locked too. Nice build of an iconic car. Certainly some are offended by what the stars & bars represents however individuals have the right to display it as they choose on their personal property. If it offends you, move on & don't try to silence others free speech. I will say the only flag that should fly over a govt. institution is the red white & blue period. As a little gear head I wasn't a fan of the Dukes only because being a new yorker I didn't relate to the theme of the show. Banning the stars & bars from personal use doesn't stop people from relating to it. Let's move on. Thanks for listening.
  16. Nice to see a Tahoe built stock. Good job. I have 1 in the stash I want to covert to 2 door if I ever get a chance. Nice build!
  17. That's one bad Merc for sure! And that radiator hose! Is it scratch built?
  18. Beautiful! I love the interior.
  19. Nice scratching! Always love to see a kit resuced.
