I matched the green as best I could with a satin spray bomb from Hobby Lobby. The front axle and six Strombergs are from the Revell Tweedy Pie kit, and the grille shell and headlights are from the Special Edition.

This car was on my calendar at work back in March and its been my labor of love since. I researched it and found out it was built by Voodoo Larry (Larry Grobe). The car went through several schemes and phases, but I combined my favorite elements in this build. I started with a Revell Special Edition frame, styrene scratch built rear half to achieve the ride height, a Jimmy Flintstone body, and Modelhaus Artillery wheels.

Ram wrecker

Opening the hood wasn't too bad, but figuring out how to hinge it wasn't my favorite task. Basically the open square tubing slides on the wire running through it as you lift it up. Still on the fence about that but I did add a styrene upper radiator support to help keep everything in place. -

Thanks Carl. I finished the paint on the lift, got some foil on the hydraulic ram, and made controls since I swiped them for the other project. -

Thanks Chuck and Buzz. I opened the floor to make room for one of Rusty's Cummins. Now to try to figure out how to hinge the hood... -

Getting in touch with you Rusty on my to-do list-lol. I figured a Cummins was the most appropriate for the build. -

Nice quiet weekend let me get most of the lift built and got some color on the body. The stationary part of the hydraulic ram fits loosely into the floor of the bed to allow movement. The underside I drilled and wired fast so it can't pull up through. The actual ram is smaller diameter to fit down inside and is secured to the underside of the boom. This should make it moveable. -

Thanks Carl. I'm starting to plan the lift now so we'll see how well styrene and I get along-haha! -

The other thing I started with is opening the hood on the Ram. I didn't feel right planning some detail on the wheel lift and leaving the truck curbside appearing in the front. -

I had taken the Holmes boom, mount, and winch for the other project so I started filling the hole in the floor with some Evergreen styrene. I'm thinking this will be a wheel lift style. -
I did an older Ford a few months ago that required stealing a few parts from the Revell GMC wrecker, but I still had quite a bit of it left so I thought I'd marry that with the AMT snap fast Ram 2500.

Pretty hard to follow some of these works by you guys-Blair and Richard especially, but here they are. The blue Ford was my first crack at it followed by the Texaco truck. -
Nice looking 'Bird Kyle.

Thank you very much guys-I appreciate it! -
Well done-I'd like to attempt that myself.

Put this together from the Lindberg Little Red Wagon. A little heavy on my wiper streaks, but the rest of it weathered ok. Thanks for looking!

Here's the interior mostly assembled. I still have to go back and touch up a few of the light spots in the tan. Foiled the a/c vents, inside door handles, and power window switches in the console for a little extra detail. Thanks for looking!

Thank you all very much. Not really building that fast-I just don't get the chance to post all that often so I tend to post close together-haha!
