  1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qdKEFW84Cs That`s a good video that goes over most options
  2. Love it!!! What's the scale on it?
  3. This is my good airbrush, pretty much the cat's ass for the price http://www.elmcityhobbies.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=166_167&products_id=2697 If you get a good AB with all metal parts, it will last forever, don't get tempted by the cheap chinese knock offs
  4. You can also use white spirit wich wont hurt the plastic, just make sure it's mineral as the other ones tend to dry yellow The other colors can be used in rust effects for one thing, you can spot different colors in a different spot over the rust color to create a color variation
  5. No fighting words to be had as all that's beeing said here is true The reason why i still love my old airbrush is because it has a larger needle and is greeat for large surface work like priming and base coats, also makes shooting metalics and anything textured way easier. I started with the badger 200 and upgraded and kept the old one that's all, i'm not saying you need 2 airbursh Botttom line is all about how much you wanna pay, the only thing i'm going to add is....If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. The 20$ airbrush on Ebay often have cheap plastic parts that don't stand up really well with some paints or solvents. Google revues before you buy, Youtube is a mine of information too!! Good luck!
  6. She looks healthy and HAPPY!!!! I have an autistic son and someone once told me that god gave special kids to special parents!!!
  7. Never used canned air..., as for the AB, i got a 150$ H&S and a 60$ model 200 Badger....still use both on almost every models i build
  8. http://www.badgerairbrush.com/BADGER_200.asp One of those will last you forever and is all you need to start especially if you're mostly building cars and you can probably get a set for around 80$. You can add a dual action later if you're looking for something more precise for detailing. As far as compressors go you can get a table unit or if you have a "garage" type compressor that works to with the proper fittings. I`d also consider picking up a ultrasonic cleaner sometime down trhe road, saves a lot of headache when cleaning time comes around! Here's a series of videos from Dr.Cranky to help you get used to your new airbrush once you get it http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2F0A72E193811D1F Good luck!
  9. i'm not a 100% sure but will check later unless someone confirms or deny me...but i think you're supposed to used on of the gray finishes as base coat for the aluminium...
  10. Thx for the encouragements! Might not cancel my next Eduard's order after all lol
  11. I really like the looks of it, but since it was my 1st time I'm trying different glues...they say PBA and I say AH! Gel super glue is best...if I can keep it off my fingers lol
  12. Here's another porject I've been working on ...1st time really using PE...hate it And for those expecting something different.... LOL Cheers!
  13. I have also heard of Easy-Off oven cleaner but i never tried it myself
  14. I think i'm in the right section Here's whaty i got today: Anyone ever used this one? I was looking for a bottom fed AB with a medium needle, at 1st glance this one looks to me like a Badger200 but with the alclad bottles (I already have a set of the "badger" bottles and at 69.99 the price seemed right to me! I think it will complete my H&S Evolution perfectly! Cheers!
