Build details, I'm old probably won't remember most of them. I saw the latest release of the AMT 55 Chevy, and I just liked the box art. So I got the kit, and started going through my parts boxes. The frame and floor pan are out of the 57 Chevy street machine, used the 4 link a out of that kit. most of the front end and the BB are out of the Foose Caddy and pu truck, The injection is from 3D model specialties. Wheels are from the Foose Coronet, tires are from the Tamiya F 50, cause you gotta have the name on the tires, along with the front seats. The flames are out of one of Revells 55 Belair, but they fell apart on 1 side so you only get to see the left side of the car. heres a couple more pics. Of coarse you have to have Model Car Garage goodies.

yea the foose truck was so unwanted it was going for 100-150 on ebay as far as the caddy, what can I say, hmmm.

I doubt the rear end sits that high on the stock kit, but I like a little rake, and yes it is Testors Inca Gold lacquer. Thank you all for your comments.

I think they are an excellent kit for parts. Peppershaker, I'm using the back half of the AMT 57 Chevy street machine under the caddy. That's another great kit for parts (hint hint Round 2. -

ok so I'm 66, and now this. Pisses me off. No one asked me if this was ok. Now i have to get those Ford models stocked up, and maybe even build one. -
The green is Tamiya Pearl Green Lacquer TS-60, the wood is Light Sand, TS-46. Best BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH paint I've ever used, and some great colors. The wood inlay is a Bic marker, honey brown. here's a pic of the interior, most of which came from Revell's 37 Ford convertible.

OK kids any news on what may come out in 2018.

I guess my beef with the metal axles is, don't get me wrong, they work great on the rear end, I just got to liking the rivets Revell used on the front of some of their kits. Its just me, I know their there..

Here's a pic of the new decals. I liked the wheels, just not the center caps, here a pic of how I change them. I'm making mine a station wagon, got to do something with those headlights, and get the kahonis up to attempt doing the wood right.

I kinda found out late that it had been released. I watched a youtube review and the guy mentioned how it was packaged, and I thought nnnoooo they will be fine. So I went searching for the kit before work, and went to Hobby Lobby, no such luck. So I thought what the heck, I work 7 days a week, and if I don't open the store right at 10, oh well. I went to the closest hobby shop , thinking they open at 10, arrived woohoo changed their time to 9:30, Thank you Colpar Hobbies. Got to work on time, took care of doing what I had to do, and opened the kit. Bummer the pillars were bent, and the windshield frame was broken right in the middle. I emailed Revell, using their online form, 4-6 weeks. I Like to blame the Chinese for this. And I'll ask a question just to get your opinion. Have we taken a giant step backwords with having metal axles in both the front and back of the kits?

I like what you did with the headlights, I was going to try that with mine, and since its a woody, make it a station wagon instead of a panel.

I combined a 57 AMT Chevy bb quad intake with the top part of a Monogram sprint car intake, Used the injectors from the monogram kit, the stakes are exhaust pipe tips from a Revell Corvette kit, the air cleaners are from the Revell Beretta kit.

the fronts a 58, the rear is a modern plate. just one of those weird things I do.

now if they could reissue Boyd's Pickup that had some great parts
