That '88 is sweet!! My first car was a '91 LX notch (emerald green). I sold it and didn't get another Mustang for 20 years. I picked this guy up in September. Don't know why I waited so long...

I just picked up the Revell Ferrari California - a decent looking kit overall. Anyway, it looks like when the kit was packed they taped the bag too tightly to the body. So now I have a warped A pillar and windshield (it is the open top model). How do I correct this? I was considering dunking the body in hot water for a bit and then trying to bend it back but would a hair dryer or heat gun work better? Any other ideas? Thanks!

I just asked Jameston at Scalefinishes for a cast iron color and he added one to his range. I have 2oz at home but have yet to try it out. Looks pretty close to the mark in the bottle though.

This is the technique I use as well. I think I got the idea from a Verlinden book.

Like an idiot I dropped my brand new can of DuPont clear and broke the nozzle clear off. No way to repair. Problem is, none of my other rattle can nozzles seem to fit. I suppose I could decant it but I would rather find a substitute nozzle. Any suggestions?

Thanks all. This is my best build yet, thanks in no small part to everything I learned on this forum. This is a great community.

Finally wrapped this one up. My father had the same color combination when he owned this car in 1968. I think it is a real looker, even by today's standards. The kit went together ok. There were some fitment issues with the hood, windshield and chassis but otherwise it was pretty straightforward. It was my first time using Scale Finishes paint and I think it is fantastic. It sprays beautifully. Next up: a '66 GT 350H
