Hi....everything is going great with this event. We have the preliminary promo aproved and going around Disney's offices . The event was going to be a exhibition event only for Cast Members, but now it will be a competition open to all. When I recieve the date I will post it here and will have promos at the local Hobby Shops. Hi...a week after our 6th Caribbean Scale Auto Expo in Puerto Rico, my friends from Modeling Associates of the Gulf State ,Florida will have there anual event "The Southeast Nationals oct. 11-12,2008, at the Florida Fairgrounds , Tampa, Florida. I was there last year and will be there again. The event is more than I expected , Scale Models , automobile exhibits, over 1400 Steet Rods and Hot Rods, Arts and Crafts,Games, Entertainments and much more. Well...none of my friends or family were there , thanks God, but I was so sad about this terrible moment, because I Know what is like to have someone in the family or a friend missing without explanation what so ever. Also , it was one of my favorite skyscrapers, I did visit them many times, I have photos, books , DVD's and drawings. I even got to know Mr. Leslie Robertson in New York, the Structural Designer of the Twin Towers, he autographed two books for me. What I don't agree is that the new structure that will be constructed in the same space is very dif. and does not represent our nation like the World Trade Center. I did go to New York when all the proposed designs were in exhibit for the public, and none realy satisfy me .If I was the President of USA I would of done the same Twin Towers again, and let the world know that we are still standing for our freedom and willing to fight for it ..........Above and Beyond....Barbo.

Hi....My name is Miguel Barbosa , I am the owner and the organizer of the "Caribbean Scale Auto Expo" event held in Puerto Rico for 6 years . I have been criticized for using the term NNL in my events (perhaps its true). Because I have over 40 categories all 1-3 prizes in most of them and all the categories are judged by each of the competitors , except for the Best in Show and the Best Theme model. I always understood that there are no regulations to this term NNL and that no one can realy say what can and can not be done using the term NNL. So this has made me do some modifications , wich is good for all of us and no one can say who used NNL term first or after. I will not do it for this years event 2008 because it is too late. But for 2009, will have a new term created by me "CJ Format" wich means "Competitor Judging Format" perhaps we need to do modificatios in some of our events so that the modeler can decide were to paricipate, I always say that the events organizer has the right to do his event the way he wants and that each Modeler goes were he thinks is better. Thats the great thing of this Hobby , the more events the more the hobby will survive. And I agree with my friend Marcos Cruz , this is only a Hobby , its a pitty when the hobby turns out to be a war without a ending, opinions are great and new ideas as well, they are always welcome. And if any other event organizer would like to use this new term CJ Format , do it, you do not need my permission. So, this is my small participation for the NNL topic.
