  1. Hello guys I worked last night a bit more on that littel one. To bring the cab to the right shape I have to put it on the frame. I started to work on it but I am not sure about how long it should be. So what WB does a singel Axel truck have with a BBC of 102 Inch? so long Arnd

  3. Hello all this is what I want to build up. I started it with the Revell cab and hood. I think it looks quiet realistic. The right type would be W900-S2 or better said Ithink this it is. So long Arnd

  8. hallo James do you know Danial? Or better said do have a e-mail adress so that I can contact him? I want to try to rework the AMT hood with the front part from Italeri`s Ford Aeromax. I do not know if it works because I do not have jet find a donor hood from Italeri. But the idea with a ready resin hood sounds grate. As for the engine I looked in to some leaflets and the DD was not availebel in the LS serie. so long Arnd

  10. Hallo all As I was thinking about a new projekt an Ford LS 9000 singel axel tracror I started looking for any information and pics I could get. I was thinkig about useing an detroit diesel 8v 71 for that truck. Realistic combination? I got the information that the 9000 serie used a drop frame but I did not found any referece on this. If someone of you has some pics or knows more about a truck like this please tell me more about it. Thanks for your efforts. So long Arnd

  12. Hallo all This is a 1972 Transcraft TX4 40 ft. log trailer. Put together from all parts you can buy for a few bugs in different auctions. This trailer is for my Ford and is a very fast build for me. I used an old Italeri container trailer frame and cut it down to 40 feet. The rear axels are from Italeri, too. The gate on the front, the bunks and the rear part with the lights are scratch build from plastic parts. The parts for the brake are partly from the back yard and partly scratch build. I tried to work out a pre 1975 brake system a single circuit air brake system. One air tank and a single wheel lock modulator. The air wires are on the left and the electrical wires are on the right. On the left side the trailer has a box for some cables and chains. The chain binders will be placed near to the. I am waiting now for four month. After all the parts were put together I start with the paint. First of all two sheets of gray and then two sheets of red. After some day of drying one sheet of flat clear paint. And then the whole thing was covered with a mixture of thinner and some black and gray paint. That is the way the trailer got its used look. The last thing is some rust and the dirt. So long Arnd

  18. Hi all It took me some time but I worked again on my Mack. The fifth wheel is ready now. I added the hydraulic cylinder and some little details. So long Arnd
  19. Hallo all Gary, you do not have to apologize I am very thankful for all this advices which make it possible to build up the truck as realistic as possible. I didn’t like it my self from the beginning on because it is definitely not for such a truck build and I had a big problem with the lifting hydraulic cylinder because of the rear axel it was impossible o fix it in place. I worked again a bit on the truck just a little progress. And one with the whole trailer. Looks nice that girl. I tried some thing out like the place for the battery boxes instead of the right fuel tank and about the air tanks. In my mind Mack uses air starter. Now with all this thoughts many questions come up. How many batteries do Macks have? Do they work with 12 or 24 volt? Do all Macks have air starter or is it optional? I hope some of you has some answers for me. Thanks for your effort. So long Arnd
  20. hallo verry nice build on that one. are the rims from that kit or from another one? they look grate on it. so long Arnd
  21. Hi all has the N14 an mechanical or electonical injection system? In my oppinion all Italeri engines have the old style mechanic injection pump more or less of a good shape. Perhaps that is a litel help for decinding what type of engine it is. so long Arnd
  22. Hallo all First of all thanks a lot for all the information and advices. The thing with the color of the bulldog is really nice. It seems that for Mack it was important that everyone could immediately recognize if its a mack with a real mack heart or not. I tried to change the title but it didnt work or better said I do not find out how to do it. Perhaps someone can tell me how it works. I worked again on the Mack the last few days. I reworked the steering system and moved it to the inner side of the frame the original shaft from the kit has to be a bit reworked to fit with the cab. I restarted the fifth wheel. The one I build up is more common on the real yard mules as I remarked on many pics in the internet. And with the advice from Gary it is clear that the fifth wheel has to be reworked. I started with the frame. Then I added the bars which hold the fifth wheel and make it possible to elevate it. There are some little details still missing but the main part is done. The fifth wheel it self is from Revel I reworked it, added a working king pin jaws and the king pin jaw locking cylinder. It is not perfect but it works. I hope to have tomorrow some more time to work on that old lady. So long Arnd
  23. hallo wow that is really a grate work all that scratch building makes is verry realistic and authentic. just wonderfull. so long Arnd
