  1. I would like to order a Ross Gibson engine in resin for a Pro Mod. Then i would like to build it with Turbo chargers. And TDR offers a great Turbo Ch... But you can choose from 3" or 3.5" or 4.5" in 1/25 scale.. What size should i use. Fred
  2. Thanks For all great feedback, If you find my Topic helpful with my pictures, thats great. I gladly share this with you. I want to show you a very helpful tool that i use when i assembles the chassie and rollcage. it is made of steel and they are heavy, but thats some of the point because it stands still when you need a stod. And also if you want to mock-up a wheelbase against a body and you want to make sure that the wheels are at an angle. To fix the wheels for the moment you can use something like silicone putty.(its like bubble gum) It is important when you measure the shock absorbers and the lower suspension arms, if you are not careless with it, it is high risk then when you assemble everything that the wheel does not sit where it should. Fred
  3. Hi , If you have looked at my Duster Pro Mod Topic,, You know why i start this Topic right now. I was planning in the future to build this Mustang Pro Mod,when the Duster i´m building for the moment is under "control" And the destiny happen when i realized that the chassie that was built for the Duster Did´nt fit well(it was a little to high in the rollcage. I test fit the chassie in the Mustang body, and guess,it fits perfect. The Dusters bad luck was the Mustang´s luck. I have found a picture of a Pro Mod that i want to have as a role model. What engine do you suggest for me to install in the chassie, and where can i found one to buy?i want the slick hood like it is without any openings for a scoop, just the clean style . It don´t have to be just that engine in the pictures but it must be something that can fit under the hood. Here is some pictures of today´s fortune Fred
  4. Hi again, I just wanna tell you that the chassie i have build was a little to hi in the rollcage, the trouble of that was that the body did´nt come down as i want, ( And to chopped it a little bit was to much work with,so i started to build a new one. It is less work to build a new one than start to modified rhe old one. I can use the same size in almost every strip from the old chassie and just do a little lower rollcage on this one. and ofcourse i started with the rollcage this time,in case that it wont fit again it have´nt take such a waste of time. And i can tell you that this time it fits,so the rest wont be a problem, but is is very difficult to build this chassie And i´m going to start a new topic of a Mustang Pro Mod just because i test fit the old duster chassie in the Mustang body, and guess.....It fits perfect. I will post some new pictures of the new start of the Duster chassie so you can see. Pictures of the Mustang Pro Mod are posted in that Topic Fred
  5. Wow, I just wanna have one too. Really great work, About Dodge Demon???? I think i have something in the back of my head that say´s that a Dodge Demon was or will be re-issued from MPC or AMT?? Is that right? Fred

  7. HI, Since i was a little kid in the seventies, when i was at 1:1 carshows with my dad i always liked the incredible custom vans. I have thought for many years that I would like to build a tribute to the typical style. Then it will be to cut out the doors of the van and then scratch build the interior. I've started, and realized that it was quite difficult to fit with what you want in the interior. Does anyone have an idea or pictures of interiors in a van model? Fred
  8. Hi, I bought this kit a couple of months ago, and the first i did was to cut out the Trunk and the doors. Then i mock-up the body with som fat drag slicks, and the idea of this build was born. "I must build a Pro stock or a Pro street Machine of this" And i started to modified the rear, just to get in the tires under the rear fender. I have not decided yet what to do with the front. The only thing i know is: it´s going to be a low one! Fred
  9. I have done a mold in silicone of the headlight in the kit and then cast it in clear plastic ( my daytime job is casting in plastic) then i found in a fabric/textile store where they have rivets that you adorn clothing with, a little round rivet in chrome or aluminum. The back of the rivet is like a reflector, that you glue to the back of the lens. If you have a partsbox you kan use lenses from another kit,but it is important to have the same size so they will fit. If you want a thin chromed edge around the lens you could use aluminum tube in the right size. You get much more realistic headlights with this method. I´ll hope i use the right words in my explanation. Look at my Dyno Don Pinto topic, the Pinto have a headlight with the thin edge of a aluminum tube. Fred
  10. I´ll think this is "art" The construction of this makes me feel good, just to look at it. Thanks Fred
  11. Hi, I have another build that i want to show what i have started, And it is the first build for me that is very much scratched parts. The hole chassie is going to be scratched with aftermarket item and my own aluminum parts. And this is the mock-up that i have constructed a jig after. And i will give my best to this build, because this is a dream if i can reach the final steps. And i must say, that the hardest part of this kind of building (for me) is not to "Detail" the car, It is the location of parts, while you may not lose proportions + to the body then to sit nicely over the chassis. If i only can get through that chapter of the building i´ll think the rest is more easy to do. It is not "easy to super detail but i have done a lot of work with wiring and photo-etch so i can be more prepared of that, this scratch built chassie is new ground for me. Pray to the Modelcar god for me not to lose faith. I will update this by the way it goes further Fred
  12. Here is another "Dyno Don" drag car, With a little bit more detail. The wrinkle slicks=Competition resin The engine=Ross Gibson Scratch built= headlights and some of the rollcage and Front shocks + chassie from firewall to front. and also the headers= of solder+parachute bracket. Modified= The lift of Bodyfront.and the wheeltubs. Decals=Slixx Probebly are the car not correct replica of the real car,but i did some searching on the net but could´nt find many detailed pictures,so i decided to build it in a truly way. Fred
  13. Hi, I wonder if someone can explain to me how i´m gonna update my already started topics?? I have started some topics that i have posts some pictures of a project. And other members ask for more pictures. I understand how i´,m reply to the members and also add some new pictures, but. I´ll see other members that have started some topics long time ago of a building project. And by the time they have updated the topics for some new information, and it also tells in the list that the topic are updated with a date, How do i do that? How to update the Topic title? Fred
  14. Hi Again, Thanks For all your positive feedback. I´m not sure how i Updates this thread ? I would like to put in a line in the title of this thread that it is updated but i dont know how? As you see this engine is not detailed, because i got tired of the build because that i did´nt have the patient and was´nt completly satisfied with the build. Anyway the Pinto deserved to be completed in a less detailed version of what i had in mind from the beginning. I hope that you like my little Pinto. Anyone who know the destiny of this car??? And how do yo do when you want to update a topic with pictures and also tell in the "title" of the topic that it is updated? Fred
  15. Hi, I dont remember exactly but the orange paint came from a can that i found here in Sweden of a brand (Multona) and the black areas was masked and also shot with a can of the same brand. then the decals, and for the final final shine,i have used clear also from Multona and between the layers of clear it is a lot of wetsanding of 1200 paper. just to get the surface smooth. and the polishing to a high skine. Thanks Fred
  16. Nice build,i like the paint and the front of the body, wow. I´m waiting to received my kit that i have order. And this thread just increasing the pressure. Nice Fred
  17. Hi, Tomorrow i will take some more photos of some of my models and post Thanks Fred
  18. Hi, This MPC Pinto is modified wheeltubs on,Just to get the fit for the Tires. The wrinkle slicks is Competition Resin and i dont know if have built this Car "correct" But i am satisfied with the Proportions. Slixx decals and scratchet headlights. I dont like, when they have Chromed lenses in the kits,i´ll think it looks like toys. Fred
