    Got a little start on the engine. It's not perfect and there's more detailing and final shaping to do. It's a little bigger than the 1/12 67 Corvette 427, but in the mock up it look's like I want it to in the engine bay. Heads Basic block up side down to show some of the carved in detail.

    Thanks again for the comment's everyone. I'm scratch building my first Engine for this one. I have the basic block started and will be working on it more today. I'm using the 1/12 67 Corvette block to go by. It will not be a perfect 427 match but it will be a very nice BIG BLOCK under the hood. I'll post progress photo's of it soon I hope.

    Yea I saw that when you posted it. Didn't know that's what the springs were for at the time. That's some odd building you have ahead of ya. I looked in on the progress it's looking good.

    Very nice work Gary. I want to cut the door's on one I'm making plans on. And seeing your's detailed up will be a big help.

    You will have to hold them up against the truck to see if they will. If not maybe you can modify them to work out right.

    I've seen it done and if you can scratch build at all,with a little work,they should be flexible enough to work like the real spring's do. As far as the rear springs go you have to look at what will work in real life and build those parts so they work. Maybe someone here can post a how to link for you to look at. As far as the look of brass spring's compared to plastic it would look a loooooot better.

    Could you post a bigger photo of the RS Grille ? I'm planning on scratch building one in 1/12 scale.

    Contact the people at Chrome Tech USA They will tell you what will be the best way to do it and send it. I've seen some of there work and it's A+++++++++
