  1. Awesome video, and great idea for a web show. Ive often thought of video documenting a build.
  2. Thanks fellas, really. I think Im finally satisfied with the front fenders. I also started making the 5th wheel mounts.
  3. I spent the better part of two hours cleaning up the resin wheels today. I cut out the spaces in the spoke rims, cut out the backs of the front wheels, and blended all the seems and just got them smooth. I want to be able to see through the front wheels, and not black out the background.
  4. It looks like your off and running. Great job so far.
  5. Theres one in Baton Rouge on the 16th that Im going to. Im hoping to have this Mack wrapped up by then.
  6. Great job Angel. It looks much better with the Alcoas(I wouldnt normally say that), and the tag axle came out great also.
  7. Jim, all of those trucks are excellent! I dont know which one I like best. The matching Petes are pretty killer though.
  8. Looking good man. Good luck at the contest. I need to get out to one of the Texas shows.
  9. Very cool. Excellent job with the resin cab. The exhaust came out great. Ive enjoyed watching the whole build.
  10. Mike this thing is too much!! What a great build, and super clean. I hope you post a build thread on this big dude. Excellent job.
  11. Thank you Gator and JT. This really is a fun project. I just bought two more of these kits. Im hooked on these things right now. I want to build an AC tandem next.
  12. I've scratch built one. It's not super hard with good ref photos. I've also bought some from Ben Wicker, and robbed one from the First Gear B model Mack wrecker. The paystar is looking great Sam! This will be you best build as of yet.
  13. Thanks Dennis, I added .120 strip to the blocks on the axles and blended it in.
  14. Dennis great work on those ramps and the stairs. When I look at a great build like this I feel exhausted just from looking at your work!
  15. I got the dump body mounted on the AC. I made a cab guard mimicking the roof arch. I added some height to the suspension to get the fenders off of the tires. I also tackled the engine for the AC.
  16. Possibly, but I do not have complete pics of every angle of the engine. Im trying to pull it of with very limited reference material. Its going to depend on how it looks when its done.
  17. Thanks Clayton and Dennis. Heres some of the work thats been done to the engine. And some added detail to the brake spiders
  18. Lookin very cool JT. That is certainly a clean looking kit.
  19. I got started on the second Mack. This one will be box stock except for resin wheels and maybe a few other things. Once the parts are cleaned up, joints and mould seams filed, this kit goes together pretty well.
  20. Yessir, and I stocked a few cases of the A64B tractor. Most are still sealed. The prices of the re-issue have already climbed to the prices of the originals. Now, if I could just have a few cases of the dumper.
  21. Say what?! Thats a big difference from the $250 or whatever theyre going for online. I love when re-issue kits knock the bottom out of the collector market, and knock it out hard. Im not even gonna say how much I invested in Cali Haulers before the re-hash. Ive almost tripled my stash since then. If I can just see the Autocar Dumper re-popped......
  22. What price are the transporters running?
  23. Great job. Very cool rig with a retro paint scheme. I like the swapped out bud wheels in the rear.
  24. Awesome! Cant wait to see this! And Dan, theres no need to worry about time frame. Its just about getting to do something as a group and honor a certain truck. Every few months we should do a different truck build. This was a great time for a Mack because of the DM release. Good luck with your build Ken
