  1. I totally agree. The sad part is, as truck modelers we do more wishin' than recievin'
  2. Since he was looking for things to cast on another page, methinks hes looking to make resin copies of desirable parts.
  3. Thanks a lot JT. Im glad your into it man. This is the oldest truck Ive built, and its definitly a diffrrent world. The best is yet to come. The functioning chain drive will be the icing on the cake. Thank you Clayton, and Thank you Dennis.
  4. Yes, the front is pointed because it has dual radiators. There are a few large off highway models that had that front end.
  5. Jim, do you have a pic of it?What part of LA
  6. Here's my update for the weekend. I bit the bullet and started making the rear spring hangers. They are riveted instead of bolted, so I used round stock to sand down and round over. All in all, it went pretty smooth.
  7. Correct, and yes Ive used it on several SBFA trucks. Its perfect for a Pete 353.
  8. I have them Sam. I try to scan them for you later
  9. I picked up these two built ups recently. The Mack is actually pretty nice except for seams all over the whole truck. The Ford isn't that bad either. The Mack is just going on the shelf for right now. The Ford will be a resin donor.
  10. Very awesome gift Sam, and Happy Anniversary. That KW is a great kit. I wish I had about 20 of them. Mrs. Sam is definitely a keeper!
  11. I was just going to ask if you had plans for a trailer for this bad boy. A spread axle reefer would give you a great canvas for matching paint work. Great job
  12. Yes, I have a bunch of his stuff also. From what I was told, he was shut down for copying other casters cabs. None of those cabs were mastered by him or authorized to be copied. Its a shame, because they were good castings. But thats ebay for you.
  13. Man those are great builds Jacobus. All 3 are very unique and well executed resin conversions.
  14. Amazing work Tom. This one knocks it out of the park. This truck needs a neon Chevy sign on display with it.
  15. Wow! The work on that ripper is impressive my friend. I definitley like seeing scratchwork on equipment, almost better than the trucks.
  16. Anthony, do you have any pics of these? So what was the Marmon?
  17. It looks great Jarda. Good call on junking the tub.
  18. Ive never heard of either. Is that the Autocar turbine COE(white 7000)?
  19. This would have been my first suggestion, but he epoxied them on. There not coming off without something breaking.
  20. If its a clean enough cut, you can hide it pretty easily. I understand not wanting to do it, but the gremlins in your head will keep reminding you thats its not quite right.
  21. I had this same problem on a DM800 with the same wheels. I removed the front axle and cut some out of the center and re-installed it.
