  1. I'm definitely glad to see this one come back. I will be getting as many as I can for sure.
  2. Depending on which model RD your looking for, the RD 800 is the only one currently available. Mtfaco used to have the RD600, but I havent seen it in AITMs catalog. If your looking for the RD 686 steel hood, I think that is still available through AITM, or maybe Sourkraut.
  3. Right! I sawed off one side, then the second side I scribed around it and punched it through and spliced in a square.
  4. Are you looking for just the sleeper, or the whole truck? I might have an extra sleeper.
  5. Great start on this. That chassis looks clean and straight. This looks like it's going to be a Bear of a kit.
  6. Without digging it out, here are the only othe pics. The rear of the frame needs to be modified. It was originally going to be a prime mover.
  7. I just call it "junkyard" because it was built with random parts and will be rusted and weathered when done. It sits on a modified DM 800 frame, resin Hendrickson, resin cab, resin tanks, paystar bumper, Astro rear spokes, and diamond Reo front spokes.
  8. Here's the last of them (for now) FWD Coe Pete 351 custom rock hauler Pete 378 mixer KW drag truck Heavy mixer trailer Stretched lowboy
  9. Thanks Tom. They all sit parked on a 4' x 8' shelf that does look sort of like a parking lot. If I put a scale mesh fence around the shelf it would look like a junkyard.
  10. Thank Tim. It can be done with the contents of the kit. I removed a out an inch (I think) from the height, modified it to a tandem, slid the axles back, and angled the rear wall. The hardest part is removing the big protrusions that the fenders mount to.
  11. Thanks Dennis. Im pretty fond of the Autocar myself. That one is actually pretty close to paint. The Peter Plane is not completed yet. I hit a wall with the tail end and got stalled. I still havent figured out a solution, but thats not a project to be rushed. The little "two story Dart" is my imaginations answer to Fords Two Story Falcon. Thats not the final name, but its a fun project. Some of these got put aside for the Mack Madness thing, but that didnt really take off.
  12. Im not throwing in the towel on any of them yet, but you guys will be the first to know.
  13. No, there is no build thread, but I can take more pics of it for you. It was a glue bomb Autocar with the IMC tanker body on it. I stretched the hood(dont ask why, just wanted to) added a Mack camelback from the DM 800 kit, and the dump body is Italeri (freightliner, DAF). I have no idea what Im going to do for an engine yet. Wheels are AITM resin.

  17. After discussing it in another thread, I thought I would compile all of my in progress models. I have trouble completing a project for sure, usually because I've already started another one. I usually get a really strong vision of something, and have to start on it immediately. I counted over 40 in progress, so here goes. Some of these may never get posted, or completed. KW needle nose, mercury sleeper Road Boss Pete 359 and dumper Road Boss Diamond Reo dumper West Coast Autocar Junkyard Brockway 361
  18. Thanks Gator. Shes helping a little, but mostly just watching. Shes not going to let me lax on this job. It should be in paint in the next day or so. Thanks to the rest of you guys also. Jesse, as far as the mudflaps go, she would probably want Dora or Tinkerbell, or Peppa Pig. I dont know how Im gonna pull that off. Im not sure if Im putting any on, bc you know they will get broken off. I cant seem to keep them on when its sitting on a shelf untouched.
  19. I counted, and yes I have over 40 ongoing builds. And with over 600 kits, thats only a drop in the bucket.
  20. I know, Ill get to to it eventually......I promise. And Thanks
  21. Thanks man. I like to keep about 40 or 50 ongoing builds. It keeps my time divided so I never really get anything done.
  22. Amazing work as usual Dennis. For the ten million dollar question, will it have an engine?
