  1. The build turned out really nice! Great photos with the backdrop. Looks legit!
  2. The '48-'50 Ford's gotta be about my favorite. You did this one JUSTICE!
  3. You do nice work! Love the color combo and your bed wood looks aged to perfection!
  4. Nice looking Chevy, Oscar! Like the silver!
  5. Needs a V8 - otherwise Amazing!
  6. Surely the wrecker's a sleeper with a 390 in it... looks very cool! Both builds are very nice!!
  7. Killer detail!!
  8. My dad drove one of these. Pretty cool little car!
  9. I've not used an airbrush yet for painting. I know... I know... but I'm ready now! I paint in my basement and want to find the most quiet way to supply air to the airbrush. What are some methods y'all use for that? I assume a tank with regulator and moisture trap? Thanks for the help!
  10. Nicely done!
  11. Not a big fan of the yellow Buick, but Kenn, that Desoto (?) is cool!
  12. Kansas does the "model year" program too. Had an original 1961 plate on my Ford truck and one on the Comet. As long as the plate # isn't in circulation, you're good to go. Just an extra form to fill out at registration.
  13. Thanks for your service, Gary! Enjoy getting back into the hobby!
  14. The dioramas this guy does are phenomenal. Found the link via Pinterest just now. http://www.terrapinnarrowgaugesociety.com/CD_RedOakGarage.htm
  15. Ron - I haven't used Pinterest much (my wife set up an account for me), but after seeing your models on there, I'm in!
  16. Wish I were in Connecticut - sounds like a great time!
  17. Being new to this group and not near the caliber of builder as most of you, I was pretty disappointed by this whole thread from the beginning. If the subject of the tear down were a member (maybe he is and doesn't want to be identified after all the negative feedback), he'd have a pretty good footing for issuing a complaint with the moderators. The golden rule here is respect ( I just read that when I signed up), and very little of that exists in this thread. So the guy thinks far more of himself than he should - there's quite a bit of evidence of that same character flaw within the comments posted in this thread. Having 45 years of experience only means he's been building that long. It doesn't mean he's learned a million tricks on perfection that many of you know. Claiming to be a professional only means he's been paid for his work. It's not an indication of quality. Sure, it should be. But it's not. I move that the moderators remove this entire thread. It was nasty from the initial post and got worse from there. Can we go back to building cars and helping and encouraging each other now?
  18. This is absolutely gorgeous!!
  19. It's how I roll.
  20. You made a good choice, Gary! Congrats on your victory!
