Interesting your method of widening the front. Here is my 56 ford ALF pumper the I widened the wheel wells on using the existing fender trim cut off then cut into pieces and glued out further using evergreen strips then used filler in the gaps. nice work greg

Well were on the subject of rescue squads and TV shows. This is the 1970 Dodge from the pilot movie for the 'Emergency' series. Thanks to Charlie Rowley for the cab and decals, conversion of the grille to 1970, scratch built body, and many stills from the movie finished off this model.

I had the opportunity to visit the original maker of this casting way back in the 70's, He was trained in master mold making as in casting masters for steel, He was a mechanic at a Mack dealership. He made these in an out building and he made them with the intention of making display trucks for Mack and Mack enthusiasts. the model making and selling was second nature since he could sell what he made after making the original for a display. Here is the 1979 Ford Bronco show truck, I did this awhile ago, but finally got to the roof. It was an outdoor theme truck with wood grain sides and chromate green interior and 'conestoga' style back roof having trouble with uploading photos hope they show up. My mistake it was 1979 greg .
