TEA! If you haven't notice but a certain large tea manufacturer has dropped the 'orange pekoe' and relabeled it 'black tea'. The terms mean that orange pekoe: which is grade of black tea; uses whole tea leafs and a black tea uses leaf parts and tea dust. potooey They even shrunk the tag. greg

Maxim F model
GLMFAA1 replied to Firebuilder's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Good luck on the build. There are two books on Maxim apparatus on ebay another method of borrowing is to get the titles and go to the library and see if they have loan agreement and have them get the book from another library. You usually get the regular loan time from your library. Ranger is doing a good job for us fire rig builders and hope he gets the support needed to continue. To Charlie Remember when no one was allowed to build a Maxim unless you got permission from Carlton😄 greg -

The monogram kit was a re-pop of the old Aurora kit so you might be able to find the glass from that kit also. greg

WC-54 Ambulance
GLMFAA1 replied to Chariots of Fire's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Why is the theme of M.A.S.H. running in my head when I went through this thread? Years ago I gave my boss a diorama of the Peerless 1/35th model of the ambulance with it customized with the company's color scheme. Lost in a fire. greg -
Mack DM600/Leach Garbage Truck
GLMFAA1 replied to Scott Eriksen's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Here is one built way back in the early eighties when evergreen plastic came out and made the construction so much easier. This is on the DM truck which is wrong because DM is designated as Dump and Mixer frame. greg -

The final story of 'squad 10'. The model traveled to Los Angeles by my niece who lives in LA. Hand delivered to the Los Angeles County Fire museum and is now on display. greg -
