  1. BFI ordered two one for the corporate office then another went to New York city to a place where they held their board of directors meeting and was hung from the ceiling after the meeting. I can't recall what the business was called but they had memorabilia from each company that held board meetings there greg
  2. Who say news has to be bad, ugly or gory, Yea modeling is handed down to another generation. Just wonder how many times can the models be released before they are considered outdated as a dial phone, Always make memories when you can. Now for the goofiness, When I see this model I imagine Yul Brenner and Steve McQueen powering up the hill on this machine greg
  3. I built this model of a local dirt track race car for a mother to give to her son as a gift, Started out with several of the AMT modified kits to get the drive train and frame, The body is a 60 Falcon with home made bumper rails from brass tubing. All lettering is dry transfers on clear decal paper. Hopefully posted in the right spot as this isn't NASCAR or Drag greg
  4. Nice job, nice paint with the breaks, maybe I should have done my Titan fire truck with that paint scheme

  6. Did this for a proposed scheme for the SOHIO tankers fleet. The blue strip on the tank wrapped candy cane style and the logo on the other side was in the rear side of the tank SOHIO sold to BP and out sourced delivery, so it did not make it any further than the model note: coiled lines greg
  7. I used the evergreen grooved siding sheets for the roll up doors
  8. As for a wrecker and roll off, some tow companys use crew cabs for the driver and or passengers of the tow. I see another squad 51 in my future greg
  9. Started with the Titan cab cut the front face just below the windshield and turned it upside down to get the lights higher, then cut open the back and flared the edge with AMT/ALF pieces Next one is a KW cabover with 1/4 taken out of both sides of the cab length wise to narrow the cab width then filled in the grille and opened the back sleeper area and once again used flare edge from AMT/ALF kit. bottom front skirt is K&S corragated sheet metal Thought you guys would get a kick out of seeing some thing different greg

  16. On the container I used sheet for the sides then placed the uprights. Since the uprights are at an angle I used .010 thin plastic to make the sides of the uprights gluing the piece on then shaving it with an xacto blade along the upright which gave the wedge shape of the upright. greg
  17. I was scanning negatives and came across these from the Cleveland auto show in 1979
  18. I found my picture from the Cleveland auto show when this truck was displayed
  19. Years ago my friend and I got a commision job from BFI for some models. We used Jim Etter cabs and pick up arms, and the MPC mixer chassis. The containers were all scratch built with evergreen sheet and sqaure stock The conventional is the AMT Mack greg

  23. Built the Simba years ago and now the tires are oozing, Anyone know what to do. I have a replace order into Revell but they only send replace orders to Germany when they get about a container worth to ship back and by then the kit is oop. greg
