  1. Thank you Steve. I just sent him an email to inquire about the decals. Your the best!! Thank you so much for helping me out, it is greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Steve Cook
  2. Would anyone know of a good source that sells aftermarket decals in Red for the 1979 MPC Trans Am. The decals I tried to use that came with the re-release kit are not cooperating very well.
  3. Outstanding model Sir!! I can tell by looking at it how much you have put into it. Every detail is crisp and clear. At first I thought I was looking at a real car and the following pics would be the model. Again super modeling Sir !!! Kind regards, Steve
  4. My favorite car!! Beautifully done Sir. Very cool!!
  5. Don't know for sure if this is the kit you are talking about: see pics
  6. Thank you Bob. The color is Mr color metallic blue.
  7. No Sir. Just Molowtow chrome airbrushed from the refill tube. Still trying to figure out a practical way to seal it in so the shine wont be to much affected.
  8. First model car I have built in about 4-5 years, forgot how much fun they are to build. Hope you like it. Steve
  9. Need help with the trunk, how to you get it to open and close. I don't want it in the open position if I have to glue it in place.
  10. Didnt know that part of history, cool to know. Thank you Greg, Steve
  11. Thank you Rich. The picture of the Cuda brings back some memories of the one my foster brother had, it was a 440 six pack and had a kick that would pin you in your seat. Use to chirp in every gear, and lighted up at intersections like the drag strip without any bleach!! Steve
  12. Thank you Bob. I'm just taking a break from doing model aircraft for a while. I think model cars are more fun to build. Steve
  13. Thank you Sir. Steve
  14. Fantastic modeling skills Andy!!
  15. Interior painting. Not sure why there weren't any seat-belts included with the kit.
  16. Thank you Greg. ?
  17. Thank you David ☺️
  18. Underside painted, trunk area, and engine installed. Masked off the interior for painting.
  19. That is a great idea David. I do have most of the Tamiya wash colors, looks like black would work best with a pin wash. Thank you David, Steve
  20. Engine work with wires added. I'm wondering if there are any aftermarket resin engines with more details? I guess for now it will be okay.
  21. Exhaust pipes to engine manifolds test fit looks excellent. I kind of had to weave the pipes through. At first I thought I messed up, but it does fit pretty nice. I test fitted before I painted the pipes.
  22. Yes Sir, that is correct. But I have to wait 3 days for it to really cure up maybe even a week, but Its worth the wait.
  23. Hi David. The Molowtow chrome is sprayed at 15-20 psi. over Mr color GX 100 Super clear III using the Iwata sbs side feed. When your spraying it, make sure to spray a little heavy so it will turn chrome instantly. Sometime you will get a slight fogging, so watch for that. It cleans up with regular lacquer thinner from Menard's. Do not try to thin it, I haven't tried so I wouldn't be able to tell you either way. The kit is the AMT 1/25th 57 Bel Air Street Machine box # 8319.
  24. You are correct Sir. I meant to type, clean up any tape residue and carefully re-polish any areas that may have any finger smudges.
