So I've read this whole topic and got some info and pros and cons. I'm staring to hate the rattle can clears as recently just been having some issues and would like to give this a try. I'm trying to understand those who've said that they've lost interest in it as using pledge as a clear coat, why? Does it not give you a quality car show gloss finish? How many coats can you apply & wait time before next coat? Can you mask over it, example say you want to dull coat a vinyl top once you clear coat the body. Can you BMF after? I use rattle cans on all my models and some times clear coating is the sketchy job cus of the nice pattern work or paint you have as a base that you don't want to ruin. If this methods works and someone can answer my questions above I'll give it a shot. Plus any recent clear pics would be helpfull too.

thanks & The resin cab i got off Ebay, i still see it from time to time on there too. It's funny how when you see someone post a 1:1 54 CHEVY TRUCK with that 47-53 5 bar grille and they say to them selves," thats not a 54" lol, but those who know there trucks like mentioned above. there was a 54 FIRST SERIES with that 5 bar grille and yeah some stuff was changed. -

I cut off the grill from the resin 54 cab I got bout a year ago. The cab and grille was all a one piece cab. At the time I wanted to chrome the grille so I cut it off with sewing string. -
that thing is sweet, good work

Ok here's another project that i've had in my stash for over a year and brought it out occasianly when i got in the mood to work on it. I had bought the resin cab 54 abd removed the grille and was gonna chrome it and work on the resin cab, but after looking at it i decided why not try and use the 50 chevy cab for better plastic fitment and make my own 54. So little by little i had worked on it from an old spare 50 cab i had and started from the grille work back. So today i brought in with me to work and got back into it. Here is were i'm at on it so far. Reworking the front fenders, windshield, upper vent and fixing some cracks the cab had. I will also be making the correct rear bed sides as the 54 had them flat tops.

Is the DIECAST/RESINCAST topic the right place to post up 1:64 hot wheels and other collections to sale?

The oranges is made out of lil small braclett decoration balls that had a orange peel effect on them so once i painted them orange that had that real orange look, the apples are from a beed variety pack i found at walmart, i just cut lil small pieces of wood for the stem. The only thing i didn't paint was the bananas, that one was tought on figuring out, so i found some already done on ebay but they came as ceramic in a crate so i had to dremel them off. The visor comes with the amt 50 chevy pick up kit. Its a nice one too.
