Petetrucker07 replied to kilrathy10's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Oh ok. Out here ive seen similiar style end dumps 45 foot. In fact ive been seeing a trailer very similar to the kit, tri axle and all, havent been able to snap a pic. Its pretty beat up and sagging in the middle, even the frame is sagging. -

That would be really cool if they would release or re-release it with the aerodyne. -

It appears to be the same but the prostar has a floor shifter option. -

Very nice man. Just gotta love wheel base. -
Ive noticed. It seems to be more reliable. Posting and loading pics seems to be better too.

Thanks Gregg and all who keep this forum up for us to enjoy. I agree with what people saying, it is a free forum and the switch was inconvenient, but if it keeps the forum up and running smooth, it was worth it. THANKS!

I dont really care for zeppelin either. Im not big on pink floyd or the beatles. Yes, they made some great music, its just not for me. Same goes for the "hair bands", there are some good songs and some really, really bad songs. There are a few zep songs i like, but not many. -

Great work man. I need to find out where to get some that stuff. I like how you did the chains on the flaps to keep them sailing in the wind. Your kickin them out left and right. Your gonna need a bigger garage. -

Prostar vs. Lonestar - The Builder's Choice?
Petetrucker07 replied to vincen47's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
I built the Lonestar, and in process of building the Prostar. They build up nice. As far as issues, they have pretty much same issues. For me, i prefer the longer wheel base trucks, like the Lonestar. Thats why i stretched my Prostar. From a design stand point, i think the Prostar is a better looking truck. Im planning on building both again, maybe a few more of each. My only gripe is the Peostar is too short. Do some research, look at builds of both. Ive been waiting to build the Prostar till i knew what issues there were so i could address them before they are an issue. The hood groove issue on the Prostar is just a matter of getting the radiator assembly too far back. -

That stretch made a world of difference on this 1. Kinda like the prostar, made way too short in my opinion. These KWs need a bit more wheelbase more than anything, just like yours. This looks great JT. -
I hauled powder cement and sand. If you go to a Home Depot or Lowes out here, chances are it was in that trailer. We hauled to a bagging facilty that bagged for those 2, regular cement, concrete mixes and Rapid Set cement. I was a company driver and that company didnt pay very well, ran "creative" hours. It was really effecting my health and family life. So i found employment elsewhere, making more money, less hours, but not so nice of equipment. The shiny decked out truck wont make up for a small, but the bigger check more than makes up for a dirty truck.
