  1. Beautiful work. Really like these old pieces of early automobiles. Great work!
  2. Very nice old school builds.
  3. I think its been a great year, with some great builds. Cant wait to see what we come up with in 2015. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everybody!!!!!
  4. Since it seems to be taking off in the car section. Us truck guys can do it, all in 1 thread. Post your builds that were completed this year, no matter when they were started. Here is the 1st truck I completed. Lowered and shortened Revell snap Pete. Here is my AMT DD freightliner, stretched, resin fenders, scratch fender mounts, pullin a cattle pot with accents to match. Heres another Revell snap Pete. I built this for a buddy. It has aluminum stacks, lowered a little and a scratch visor. This is the current reissue AMT Ca Hauler and AMT Fruehauf flatbed. All painted to match. This was a very fun build. Scratch rear bumper and visor. Revell front bumper and half fenders. This is my 1st Moebius kit, the Lonestar and the 53 footer. This 1 really pushed my skills. But i figured it out. Its all painted to match with a bunch of BMF done. The Ertl tri axle gravel trailer. I still have to figure out what truck im puttin under it. Here is my 2nd go at the Ca Hauler with the AMT 40 foot Beaded Van trailer.Went for classic old school look with light blue, stripes, roof a/c, and Mercury sleeper from a Diamond Reo kit. I ended up giving this to my buddy. He really liked it. Heres another stretched freightliner. This was built for buddy. Scratch stainless bumper and Revell rear bumper. Im gonna call this the final finished truck for me of 2014. Its the AMT wrecker. Switched out the kit rolling stock for Moebius. Lowered a little to give it the right stance. Made some small cradles for the stuff on the wrecker body. Added aluminum stacks and drop visor.
  5. Your gonna have enough of these spectacular, stylish cars you could do a Jay Leno Garage dio. This is another awesome build.
  6. Your Camaro is drop dead gorgous. That 70 Chevelle looks like its in the dealers show room. Very nice builds. Amazing work. I wish i finished more than just cars and 1 pick up this year. I did finish 7 big trucks. Next year i want to build more cars and p/us.
  7. Thats what i would suggest also. The New Ray trucks wheels look better than kit wheels. The wheels are all the same for the Petes, kws, volvos, freightliners and macks. The Loves truck stop, Pilot and Flying J have a pretty decent selection. The T/A and Petro are hit and miss.
  8. These are nice little kits, and fairly easy to customize. My biggest gripe with it is the molded in rear section, the suspension and 5th wheel. Makes it hard to shorten and make a 2 axle out of it. BUT, makes it easier to stretch. Im gonna be startin another 1 shortly and itll be getting that very treatment. You might want to get another or make your own air cleaners, duals would really help even this kit out. And if the fronts not low enough, you can, 1 grind a few "leafs" off or cut the rear shackle down. I did what you did plus both of the suggestions on my little 2 axle. It lays the bumper on the ground. Well the lower profile Moebius rims and tires helped too. Nice work so far.
  9. The company i used to work for had a black 1. Pullin a spread axle flat bed. I think they sent trucks out your way a few times a month.
  10. Thats too bad Italeri couldnt have made this with a motor and opening hood. I might get 1 just to stash for a rainy day or big trade.
  11. I really like to see those old locomotives when they pass through here. Id kinda like to take a vacation and go on those steam engine rides in Williams Az, Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico. Thats a really pic and an awesome sight. Things just arent built the way they were back then, STEEL!
  12. Unfortunately no, not yet. We can only hope.
  13. Dont be surprised if theyre there in the office in the morning
  14. Any word on the detail. Is this different than previous releases.
  15. Very nice Terry. I need to get a couple more wreckers, a few of each moebius trucks and another case of Ca haulers wouldnt hurt either.
  16. That looks awesome. Im just speachless. This whole is jaw dropping man.
  17. Nice save man. His last race was the last race i watched, not sure why. Nice tribute, the flat black is fitting. I thnk ill build this kit next. Ive been puttin it off because of the changes i want to make. This looks good, very nice job.
  18. I thought this thread deserved a bump. Here are a couple of my stretched cabovers. AMT DD Freightliner, 1/25, the black is a bit longer than the red. The black 1 is on my shelf and the red 1 is on a buddies shelf.
  19. Heres a suggestion. Maybe you could put some cast off from the lathe caused by lube or coolant. Either that or make a splash guard to protect the wall. Perhaps same with the drill press.
  20. Yeah, the tarp doesnt look tight enough. Your gonna loose it as soon as you hit the highway. Maybe go thinner material. It does look better stretched. You can haul 70 foot steel now.
  21. I really wish i had time to stop. But i drove by the Bill Signs Trucking yard in Lakeside Ca. I got to see the truck tge kit was modeled from. They have a bunch of cool trucks. Hopefully 1 of these days ill have time to stop and look around.
  22. I here ya Terry. For those prices your better off, in some cases, just buying another kit. Then you have extra parts. I know ive done it if a forum member couldnt help the situation.
  23. I just scored another Wilson livestock trailer for 25 bucks.
  24. Looks good man. I really wish i could quit arguing with myself and just build 1 of my 379s
  25. I remember getting my license and driving to school. My 1st car was a 70 chevelle with a 350 horse 327. Got rear ended 2 months before graduation. Took the insurance money and bought a 73 type LT camaro. Had it runnin on senior ditch day. What did i get today, let me see..... Oh, i got to sit on a job in Newport Beach for 3 hours waiting for permits so i could dump the load of rock i brought in from Arizona. Then i went to Hobby Lobby and bought all the California Hauler petes that were on the shelf and i bought Christine.
