Diamond REO C9064D
Petetrucker07 replied to Chuck Most's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I saw this truck while cruisin through pages DR pics. Had to share it with ya Chuck. -
Thanks Dennis. I figured 1 thread was better than going back into each different thread. Its kinds like an online model truck show. Too bad theres not a way to vote, like people choice. Hhmmm, maybe something can be done. This gives guys a chance to look back at all the builds. Its also good for members like me who joined mid year to see builds that may have slipped down the list. Your builds look great, ive been keeipn my eyes open for 1 of them excavators. Id really like 1 to go with the rest of my equipment. If i can started on it, i have trailer that might get some attention. Great work this year man!

Petetrucker07 replied to Force's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
AITM has them. Dave also has the big Mercury sleeper too if your interested. Heres a link. The tires are rims are at the bottom. http://www.aitruckmodels.com/pages/kitsparts.html -
Very nice bud. This stacks up with any other build on here. You tool a new angle on this some what difficult kit. Put some parts on that not many have done. I was thinkin of doin same thing, puttin a 3406 in a freightshaker. The details look great, you put the tanks equal on the frame, cab insulation. Looks great!

Rules for mailing Packages in December.....sorry Gibbs
Petetrucker07 replied to thatz4u's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I sent out 5 packages, 3 padded envelopes and 2 boxes. I went to a postal "satellite" office out of convenience. I sent them out out on a saturday and a week and half later, they showed up on my door step with no explanation, no reason of return to sender, so stamp, no nothing. They are addressed and marked properly. Its very aggravating when you pay for service and this is what happens. Now, since these were for trades and what not, it makes me look like the jerk. -
Welcome Ashton.

I love to see all these fine end of the year builds keep it up !
Petetrucker07 replied to bpletcher55's topic in Model Cars
Its great to see these end of year builds. It allows some members who joined mid year, as i did, to catch up on some great builds that fell down the list. The workmanship is something to be envied. I can only hope to be half the builder some are. Im pretty decent building trucks, but cars thats another story. I hope to build a few more next year and develop my skills more. Im lookin forward to seeing what 2015 has in store for modeling. -
Late Introduction
Petetrucker07 replied to Rign14's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Welcome Cliff. Thanks for your service. You guys dont get enough recognition. When i pass a convoy of milatary vehicles, i wave at all them, even give them a blast of the horns when i can. I kinda have an idea for a big dio myself. I want to do a truck show. It only makes sense for me since i build mainly show trucks. From what ive seen of your truck shop it pretty good, i wouldnt have known it was cardboard had you not said anything. I would like to do a Chrome Shop Mafia type shop dio, maybe 2016 will be the year for that. I look forward to seeing what you come up with and i will help whenever possible. Again, welcome and THANKS man! -
What non-auto model did you get today?
Petetrucker07 replied to chunkypeanutbutter's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
It does help. When i had surgery a few years ago, when i was getting admitted i had a HOT nurse. I was doped up with meds necause it was emergency surgery. My wife told me i was flirting with the nurse right in front of her. I dont remember talkin to the nurse or my wife sitting there. I do remember what happened till the meds kicked in, unbearable pain and the pretty nurse. Thats what i remeber till i woke up after the surgery. But yes pretty nurses help. -

I got the Revell Bucketwheel Excavator for Xmas. -
Well here it is. A Xmas present from my family. I think this will be a fun build. This will be my 1st non auto related build ever. I say this now but i know how i am, itll be a long slow build. A ton of small parts. A bunch of cables and rigging. I want to this right and not hack it up. Im gonna do my best to take my time building it.
