  2. I was lookin at a pic of your fleet, which really good, i spotted a Bj and the bear truck, id like to see more pics of it when you get a chance
  3. I can only hope for the w900l, and if they are gonna do the optimus prime truck its has to be new tooling to make it a 379
  4. Did you have any issues with gettin the parts from p & p, i ordered parts and have some issues, hoping im not alone, great looking pete, awesome paint, and detail!!
  5. The RGN trailer and the D11 are the best, really hope those get made. The bekins set up would be cool too, a needle nose kw, what can be better.
  6. Thats called a seminole paint scheme, its a timeless classic paint job, 1 ive always liked
  7. Good to know about the shift tower, i can deal with now before mine is done
  8. Heres a few tips that help me, i know its over said but with trucks, take your time, it can get really aggravating, i just push it a side or pick my stuff up and put it away for a bit. The moebius kits are that way for me, the instructions can be confusing and hard to read. I use a really reasonably priced set of brushes i got from micheals, around 10 bucks for the set 8 brushes, i wouldnt use the testors brushes unless thats all you can get, they are too course and stiff. When using rattle cans, i know its hard, i still struggle with it, light coats, i know your gonna want to see color NOW, but thats how runs and wrinkling happen. If you can, id think about getting an airbrush, micheals has a beginner set up, bottles, hose and gun with the coupon its worth the investment, the compressor its what costs the most, but ebay can help. Detail work, sand the pieces, get the tree and excess mold off the part, sand and putty the pieces that are built in halves, motors and trannies, seats, that sort of thing, that helps to achieve the realistic look. Heres a big 1, build for yourself, build it how you want, you wont enjoy it if you dont do that. I built a 56 chevy, bought thst kit and a newer corvette kit, my wife was not happy i bought a kit just for parts, but the end result was winning best of show at its 1st show. I know this hobby can cost a lot of money but its kinda like golf, its most aggravating yet most relaxing time youll have, if you need any help, advice, whatever, dont be afraid to ask, this forum is a very good thing, im glad i joined it.
  9. I hear ya on the prices, truck kits can get spendy, id love to build the bill signs pete or the can-do wrecker but since they are discontinued, they are worth a lot of money. i was lucky enough to have had the new 359 wrecker gifted to me, but an up coming project truck is gonna set me back about 300 on kits and parts alone, i definitely do it for the enjoyment and pride looking at the finished results, especially when it comes out just how you wanted
  10. Do you make your 379 extended hood or do you get it from somewhere, ive only 389 conversions
  11. I wouldnt know where to begin, i guess try the way the real trailer is built, construct the tank but thats the hardest part, im gonna do some thinkin, maybe i can do it
  12. Welcome, hope to see some pics soon
  13. I was lookin close at yours, i looks really good. These moebius kits are really nice but can be kinda difficult to understand the instructions, i have to either scrap or try to fix my now glue bomb lonestar, its kind of a disaster
  14. This is my 1st build in 10 years, keep at it and the ideas will start flowin and you might find yourself unable to think inside the box, i cant, even when i try i still find myself outside of it. Yours looks good, you got some brad, keep it up
  15. My next project after my stretched cabover is a prostar im gonna stretch out, cant wait, i love thinkin outside the box
  16. This is the truck i drive everyday, the truck is no problem to build, really wish there was a kit or i had more skill to make it from scratch
  17. Welcome back, thats gonna be a slick lookin pick up
  18. Dont get me wrong, it looks really good
  19. Ive been thinkin about pickin this up, but hearing of the problems with incorrect parts, and the fact the wheelbase is way too short for my taste, anyone who attempts this kit deserves applause.
  20. Hey my 1st attempt at the lonestar didnt turn out very, i just set it aside, need assess what i did wrong and proceed ahead, i just hope i can fix it, if not, ill pick up another 1 and take my time
  21. Hey now mike, i did same thing, got rid of all my stuff, tools, paint, everything, big mistake, but now im gettin better tools, and gonna make my return better and more enjoyable, welcome back bud
