  1. Here are mine. Revell 359. Revell W900 Revell 359(currently being redone) Just finished this up today. The redo of the the above truck.
  2. Well, it's like what has been said before. There's no big challenge with these kits if they're built box stock. But, I can also see these kits used for guys who are pretty "green" at truck customizing. This would be a 10 month build and for some of us, this is a 2 day build kit.
  3. So far I'm counting 9 that are in for this. Now remember, this needs 12 minimum entrants. Even with 12, your guaranteed a spot. Then it becomes a contest of cover and pick of month. It would be nice if it were to have 20 entries, then it's competing to get in and the cover and pick.
  4. No weathering. Any make of truck. I think the Jan to Oct would still fit into your schedule. I'm still workin on some basic rules. I think all entrants would have to at least start the build thread by the end of Jan.
  5. FYI...no PMs, yet. Seems like this doesn't have interest yet. Maybe the longer time frame will remedy that. I'd like to see some car guys give it a go. Look at Dr Karry and the truck he built. That electric KW. That's outside the box, and took some time.
  6. That was my thinkin. Maybe it would allow for some more elaborate work too. Not just a stretch, slam, paint. It could open it up for chop tops and body drops, who knows.
  7. WOW! Absolutely amazing work. You have some serious skills man. You have the Fire thing down!
  8. I've been rethinking the time frame. How about a 10 month build? Would that get more more people interested?
  9. Terry, I'm kinda rethinking this. I think trying to squeeze this in by the end of the year is big dream. I know this is hobby and builders aren't able to devote a big portion of their free time to a deadline build. What Iam thinkin about is making this a Jan 1st to Oct 31 build. A full 10 months should be plenty of time to build a truck. So I'll throw this out there. What are the thoughts of this being a 10 month build? Would this spark more interest?
  10. You would go and say that. Now I gotta order a couple more!
  11. I ordered 2 from mega, says they shipped yesterday.
  12. Ok, I'll bite. This is the only pic I have of myself. I don't do selfies, I hate that word by the way. This was the night my son was born. It was a long day. I had started my day at midnight tuesday, went to work as usual. He was born 3 weeks early, he was born at 11:41 pm. I had been up for 27 hours before I got to go to sleep for a few hours. This pic was taken around 12:30 am Wednesday.
  13. Very nice. Another great example of the possiblities of these snappers. Stretched, lowered, I love it.
  14. Very cool. Those colors will definitely get some attention. Nice work on Hydro tank.
  15. I think he's ok. A TC 660 doesn't exist.
  16. Well, I know it's only been a few days. But it's not lookin like this is gonna take off anyway. I'm still hopeful, anyone who is interested can enter, and that might be a good idea, no snappers. Or a certain amount of customizing. Guess I should sit down and really set up some rules.
  17. You are gonna need a wall for that, nevermind the shelf.
  18. I said almost. It's up to the builder as to how far they think they could take a build in the given time. Some guy may spend a lot time on paint, or on body work or whatever.
  19. Not really. It kinda pushes you to do cosmetic build. Almost curbside really.
  20. Here's a link to the thread I started in the truck stop section. You don't need to be a truck builder, but willing to accept a challenge. This would be a 90 day build, 1 post, 1 vote, no entrant voting. For more or give ideas, vist this thread. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=102956#entry1446723
  21. Thanks man. I've been wanting something like this to come along and it wasnt. So I figured I'd go ahead and do it. I figured I'd give this interest thread till the end of the month to feel it out. Then give everyone interested July to gather parts, kits, ideas and inspiration. Then start it Aug 1st, then end last day of Sep. Maybe even end of Oct. Make it a 90 day build. I think 90 day would be more likely and fair to everyone, life does get in the way. I like your thinkin of non entrant voting. That's just a givin you'd vote for yourself. My fantasy for this would be 15 or 20 entrants. That would be very pleasing. But so far, there are 6 or 7. I would hope this would inspire some that build only trucks to do it and non truck builders. Maybe I should post and interest thread in the community build posts too. I think the calender idea may spark more interest.
  22. Hobbylinc.com says they will have more in in Aug.
  23. Hobbylinc.com is out of stock. But they are saying more will be in in Aug.
