I agree. I like when somebody does something out of the box. They built what they wanted. I know the guys in the shop are proud of it. But, there are a few that they have built that I really like. The Cummins powered rat rod is out of control. Their wrecker is way cool. But this particular car, I'm not diggin it very much.

Welcome back. Congrats on the local drivin. I understand where your coming from on that. I haven't been drivin quite as long as you, but. Drivers understand. -

Here's a better pic of this COE. The buddy I built it for, is moving and gave it back to me. -

Edit**The Ca Hauler will get the spot lights on the cowl and center cab lights painted green. That's it. -

Thanks guys. I'm not going make a few changes. The snap pete is gonna stretched, Moebius rims and tires, different visor made and stacks switched out. The COE will get striped and repainted the same way. The Ca Hauler will get cleaned and remain the same. But the trailer will get tore down, rebuilt and repainted. I will probably switch out the rims and tires for AMT Alcoas. Here they are, back at my place. -

The fall of Drag Racing , an article from . . .

Another track lost to a land lease deal. Dam shame. My parents left me with a baby sitter to go to the last race there. My mom still has the final race poster framed in her house. I have the pictures of when they were there. Here's a fact some may or may not know. The Bob Bondurant driving school was founded there. It's kinda funny if you think about the old Fontana drag strip. They tore down to build the steel mills. Then, they tore down a steel mill to build the speedway. -
Hobby Shops In L.A. Area?

Before I found out there's a HS in Baldwin Park. The only other good thing in that town is its home of In-N-Out Burger. Their teaching "University", shipping and maintance. The best part, on the other side of the freeway from all that is the original store #1. -
I built 3 trucks for a buddy. Not paid to do it, just out of the kindness of my heart. He asked and I did. Well he's movin, from Ca to Texas. He doesn't want to chance breaking them. He doesn't want to sell them. So he decided to give them to me. I did do under glass threads, so I'll post a pic of each to show which. The 1st is a Revell snap Pete. Box stock except for the Rhino stacks and scratch visor. Next is a AMT Freightliner DD. Stretched, scratch stainless bumper, Revell rear light bar, Italeri front tires on kit rims. Lastly, AMT Ca Hauler and Fruehauf beaded trailer. All box stock except for the scratch visor and DR Merc sleeper. I'm sad to my friend leave. But I'm happy to get a couple builds that I really liked. Now I have another reason to go down to Texas.
