  1. Yea I didn't do a thread for it, it's just a bunch of boring body work, putty, primer, sand, putty, primer, sand etc etc etc... I'll be sure to give you the link to my under glass post when I make it.
  2. Did you move the wheel base yourself or did the kit come like that? If you did it yourself, bravo on you, can't even tell where the original wheel wells were! Really cool car..
  3. Wow that's some shiny paint! When I attach glass in, I first use Elmer's White Glue and tack the corners and the middle of the glass to the body. After that, I use Testor's Clear Glue for glass (The one that is white and then drys clear and has a purple label) to go fully around the window. I paint the headliner before I install the glass, so I don't have the chance ever of getting the paint on the glass. Hope to see this under glass soon! Cheers!
  4. haha that's awesome.
  5. Yea, but the smell of the formaldehyde.. essh. Smells really bad.. It keeps some of the smell in there and not in the drivers compartment...
  6. WWWOOOWW that's terrifying and awesome at the same time! Here's the video of the crash
  7. I prefer Wendy's over McDonalds. There burger taste like actual beef instead of the flavored-cardboard at Mickey's D.. Not to mention their chicken nuggets, which are from China, or so I've heard...
  8. Really cool kit, Tom! I bet that looks sharp on you shelf. Rims are a little big for my taste, but hey. It's your kit. I'll have to check out your videos soon!
  9. Owen I would really suggest getting a cheap Revell kit. It will show you all the things you will need to do on a box-stock build, and although the Japanese have better body and interior detail, the Revells have full detail, as far as engine and complete chassis. Plus it is relatively cheap, at least cheaper than Tamiya kits; so if you do happen to mess something up, it's only a $15 kit and not a $40 kit.. Just my opinion.
  10. Yea I didn't do the best work either. It's just that metallic purple is hard to paint over if you didn't prime it *Whistles* Really the only thing I built well was the engine. haha
  11. It just really disappointed me for some reason. You're talking about the one molded in some weird metallic purple color? Revell re-issued it, as (i think) Ed Roth's 56 ford. White truck with red flames on the box-art. I got it for my birthday but I traded it with my dad for the Badman re-issue. I think it has updated molds, not sure. I only open the bags and looked at the parts.
  12. Those have no air conditioning.. At least when it comes out of the factory..
  13. The Hot Rod Magazine '56 Ford F100. Flashing every where, poor fitment, the doors.. are trash, wheels are trash, the whole kit is trash. The AMT/ERTL Corvette Gasser. Not the green one, the other one, the one molded in some weird tan color. Again, flashing, poor fitment.. even the engine is trash. No clear way to glue the rear bumper on, the 2-piece slicks are trash... Gives me shivers thinking about re-building that one. Those two kits were thrown in the trash, although i did take the engines and tires from both kits.
  14. Cool! Are you going for a stock look?
  15. Oh, you Feds... There are no known unknowns, only unknown unknowns! Yum? No, Really?
  16. Do you use the forum uploader? The one where you attach the files?
  17. Any progress is good progress. He was a really good driver. Shame.
  18. I agree Carl, I agree.
  19. That's a nice color.. Would look sharp on the Mini too... My neighbor has a MG, bright yellow. Sadly it doesn't run anymore, and it's under a tarp... I think it is up on jackstands too. I think he had a '75 MGB.. Not sure.
  20. Wow amazing work. Never would've thought that simply painting the dash black made it look so much better. And bravo on those seats.
  21. The jacks and base are really cool. Good job. I guess leaving the wheels off were for the better.
