  1. That kit sat alone on a shelf for 5 years in my LHS, no one bought it. I think it was still there when they closed down! I don't get it ahhaa
  2. If you don't like all the "stuff" there, then don't look at it. The Hobby Lobby around me has only a couple religion related things, and I don't mind it. And if you don't like how the politics of that store have been going on, then take your business somewhere else... Simple as that.
  3. I think the mustang actually doesn't look that bad! The ones Greg posted, uh-uh those are bad...
  4. You know what would look really cool! Big, long Cadillac taillights! Like these I'm talking about the bottoms, but the tops could be integrated somehow! Just a idea. Great body work so far!
  5. What most likely happened: The idiot steals the car. Drives off, realizes, this is a fast car! And speeds off down a road, thinking it was a straight road when it actually had a turn or two. He's probably going upwards of 90+, sees the turn, brakes lock up, the car goes sideways, the driver side front hits the tree, throwing the block and everything else to the left! The idiot survives, the car doesn't... My mom told me a story of her neighbor who was tired of having kids knock down his mailbox in their cars, messing it up. So he dug a 4 foot hole and mounted his mail box on a solid steel rod and poured concrete in the hole and stuck the mailbox in the concrete. That thing was going nowhere. A kid and his buddy come down the street, and try to run over his mailbox. The car wraps around the mailbox, driving the engine back into the interior, totaling the car, they survived but were in critical condition. Remember, this was at 2-3 o'clock in the morning. My mom said she heard a loud bang and screaming, the neighbor coming out on the front porch and yelling at the kids for trying to run over his mailbox. The whole car was around this mailbox. He got sued by the city but they dropped the charges, because, hey, the man was tired of his mailbox being run over! The mailbox is still there.
  6. You're right. You could also get a '64 Fairlane and make it a Thunderbolt... Did you have a 360 or a 390? auto/manual? New/used? If you know much about AMXs, you might know about the Playmate Pink AMXs. There was only two. One went to a Playboy bunny in 69. And the other went to a dealership in Missouri, sold and passed through a set of hands, eventually ending up in Ohio, to my dad's friend, who has a couple AMXs and Javelins. He sold it 2 or 3 years ago. It was only one of two original pink AMXs that came from the factory. I think it had a 360 and auto, black stripes too, it was pretty sharp, at least for a pink car haha... It was kind of funny, Johnny Lightning made a pink AMX, so he had a little car of his own, and the big one too! When the MPC AMX comes out, I might make mine like the pink AMX...
  7. Although if you had the courage and the tools, you could install a backseat in a AMX, if you really wanted to!
  8. My dog's happy I don't go anywhere in the morning so we don't have to put him in the cage, the body work on my '36 ford is almost done (model of course), my fat cat is losing weight, and my thumb healed up.
  9. What do you expect, nothing but kids running around the store? There aren't many kids into modeling anymore. And just because there's a old dude walking around doesn't mean he's a pervert, unless he's taking pictures of the women in the store.. Also what do you mean, cruising the place?
  10. Those are all pretty "funny" cars, haha, ba dum tissss
  11. I really like the turbos on this. Too bad about the door, at least one of them still opens. Nice finish on the paint too!
  12. That is cool! The green really fits on the car. Absolutely love the chassis. The 426 on the belt cover is a nice touch.. Although the wheel valve stems seem a little bit big... Oh well.
  13. Cool wagon! Is this a Revell kit? Who makes it?
  14. Looks real! Really nice red, is that a factory color? Don't worry about no hose or decals under the hood, looks good to me!
  15. Great build, looks like it came right out of the past!
  16. Modified stockers aren't my thing but this does something for me. Looks awesome!
  17. Classic car with a classic color! Great job! Did you break the post when you put the body on the chassis?
  18. The front grille is really cool. I really like the dog dishes! Great job Ray!
  19. Ah man, that's sweet! Great job! What do you mean by contest, as in like 'what's the best rat-rod model around'?
  20. Cool concept, not a big fan of the wing, but oh well. I like the lights...
  21. No, if you want to you can put a 1/4 inch diameter tube in the tires, that should fit right in the tires, and leave room for the rims.
  22. It does look like carpet, sometimes flocking looks too big, sometimes too small... Are you going to glue the hood shut, what do you mean as a closed hood model?
  23. Cool models, both of you! He's right, the decals are pretty awesome...
  24. I think they're cool! You should try building a complete model sometime! They look good for "Abominations" lol
