  1. Thanks for the complements. I feel the same here in kc.
  2. I always seem to forget inside of exhaust pipes. As my pics show.
  3. At hobby lobby go to the painters isle they have small bootleg for mixing, and piepits ( I sure I spelled that wrong droppers) I can't tell you enamel ratio I stay away from enamel. I am impatient so I don't like to wait a week or so for it to dry. Check the thinner bootleg if it says acrylic thinner don't use to clean brush after using enamel or lacquer. I use lacquer thinner from home Depot for those. You get a a gallon for price same price as little hobby brands. And ALWAYS follow lacquer thinner with airbrush cleaner and the oil lacquer thinner will eat your seals. Your best bet is it follow some of the airbrush tutorials on her or youtube.
  4. Tamiya 1/12 312t
  5. Fujimi 126c2 Tamiya F189 Revell
  6. Seems that my F1 stuff is getting some love on here so here are some of my Ferrari grand prix cars. Tamiya 1/20 F60 Tamiya F2001
  7. Createx is pretty good (If you have hobby lobby 40% coupon you can get the set with reducer pretty cheap. It is a semi gloss finish, so you have to clear, and it likes to orange peel. Vallejo makes and pre thinned airbrush paint, its the Model Air line. My Studio 27 resin Sauber is Createx Wicked White and Wicked Blue thinned with their high performance reducer, with Future as clear.
  8. Thanks for the compliments guys. The doors didn't line up, so I glued them open. The whole body needed work. molds were off so there was a big seam and had wave and sinks. I wont by a Minicraft again.
  9. I live in k.c. so only get out there 1 or 2 times a year. I usually go to Forever and a shop in joillet next to the mall don't know the name. But I am going to hit up Des Plaines and LA Grange next time. We don't have anything good for models here. So most of mine are Internet buys now. Which i hate just something about actually going in a store i love.
  10. Everything is up on shapeways.com now. You can look under shops for JL Customs. I put up 3 different wheels, 2 different brakes, electric fans, and a master cylinder. If you guys want something else for the Foose let me know. Thanks
  11. This kit was a pain. Nothing lined up on the frame, but happy with result. Paint is custom mix of Model Masters silver and cobalt blue. I frenched in the headlights and stripped all the chrome off except the hub caps.
  12. 4438 w bellmont ave chicago 60641 that's what I'm talking about forever timless hobby shop. Go to Google Earth and you can even walk the store cool as hell you can walk the store look at the selves.
  13. Don't go by what website says. This place is awesome. Does look like much from street. Just a door that they have to push a buzzer for you to get in. Like its some secret club. You go down a hallway, then you enter a big ass room. There is 3 or 4 rows of shelves about 30 plus foot long 8 foot plus tall. All models alot of hard to find things. Plan on being there a while.they have autos planes military and diecast. Some detail thimgs. They had a bunch of the old chrome 1/24 engine kits. Can't remember who made them.
  14. I tried looking for a thread about what hobby shops are around and didn't see one. I do a lot of traveling and always want to see local hobby shops. Google just doesn't cut it. I've went out of the way countless times to see a shop I found on Google to find out its not geared towards models. So if we can setup a thread or if there is one.
  15. Don't know if you already hit up chicago. But you have to go to Forever timeless hobby shop. They have more kits then I've ever seen in one shop. Stacked to the ceiling. And strada motorsport is outside St.louis if you email him he will let you come by. Last I checked he didn't have store front.
  16. I love Formula 1 cars so hers one i did a few months ago. Was an old kit I picked up at a Hobby shop in KC. The decals didn't want to cooperate at all.
  17. Hey Ralph great work. where did you get the pulleys from.
  18. Hasagawa 250TR
  19. The 2 greatest Ferrari's of all time IMO. Both were out of box builds. Fujimi 250 gto
  20. I am planning on doing newMFH 1/12 Ferrari 126c2 and MP4/6 those run around 700 a piece. But if it was Revell not spending over 80 (I wouldn't of got the foose if I didn't have 40% off) Tamiya 450 would be it. I would love to see some Auto Union 1/12 scale or 8th would be better.
  21. So I picked up the Foose Camaro (Hobby Lobby 40% off) And noticed that there are no brakes the wheels don't look to great and the engine compartment. lacks a lot of detail. So I figured by aftermarket, well nothing out there really. So guess I will print my own. So here is what I have so far, will publish to shapeways if anyone is interested. Did a few different wheels they work with kit tires and mount to kit axle and spindles. The first 2 are center lock. still have to make some brackets for the calipers. I plan on using tdr innovations 1/12 BBC so decided to make electric fans, and billet master cylinder. Also need to design a 4 link. should be done this week with design then order them up. Already passed upload to shapeway. Just need to finish up.
  22. New here so thought I would put some cars up.This was my first resin build. Loved this kit.
