  1. I've seen a couple of '67 4-door Impalas* people have done by grafting on the roof from (of all things) the old Monogram 1/24 '69 Camaro. These looked VERY nice when done--much better than it sounds. In fact, I think that roof looks better than the one on the MCW resin body. (If the 4-door and 2-door sedan roofs aren't identical, they're very close.) *Some kind of movie or TV car, IIRC.
  2. Those seats look fabulous! I've wanted to do a houndstooth interior for years and have even figgered out a couple ways to pull it off, but doubt that I have the skill and/or the patience to actually DO it. Well done!
  3. Buick hasn't made anything I really, REALLY like since 1967. Oh, they've made some nice cars, just nothing that spun my particular windmill.
  4. Very nice! Somehow I think Jimi would be pleased.
  5. Haven't been in this thread for a while, sorry. Didn't mean to come off as a "hater" (whatever that is), but the stinger on this hood just doesn't look like the real one to me. But maybe it's just me. But for those who like it, good for you.
  6. Looks like hundreds of other ugly cars on the road, with a stupid looking "smile" grille and a Buick emblem.
  7. Nirvana's Man Who Sold the World isn't bad at all, but I prefer Bowie's original. But I'll give Nirvana a lot of credit for introducing the song (and perhaps Bowie) to a new generation.
  8. Again, yours looks 10X better than the original.
  9. The AMT Duster is 1/25 and the Cuda and Challenger are 1/24. If that matters.
  10. I'm not a tank expert. What is that, an M47? As to what I'd like to own, either an M16 (White M3 halftrack with quad .50 turret) or the aforementioned Dodge M37. The little M3/M5 tanks are cool, too.
  11. The first pic almost looks like it was made out of some kind of Studebaker sedan.
  12. Here's the best value in compressors. Much better than any desktop or hobby compressor you can buy. I bought mine in 2002 and it still works great. In fact, after using a little Brown hobby compressor for 20 years, the day I plugged this thing in was the happiest day of my hobby life. If mine blew up tonight, I'd go buy another one without hesitation. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Campbell-Hausfeld-3-Gallon-110psi-Air-Compressor-11pc-Accessory-Set-Bundle/12534870
  13. On second thought, I believe you posted from Dialog twice. And I got them confused as I always do. Don't hate me, but many Chicago songs sound the same to me. I'm so confused.
  14. Wow, you must really like that song, Harry. That's your third trip to the well on that one. (I'd have gotten it immediately this time, if I'd been up--I'm learning!)
  15. Agree completely. Or the Badger 350, which is very, very similar and might have better local parts availability.
  16. All manufacturers have turned out gems and turds. Hard to give any one a "best" rating though I must say I prolly see fewest complaints and most compliments about Tamiya kits.
  17. Very cool! If this were going on in my area, I'd be participating.
  18. Yes, and you need to do it right. Either too much or too little dihedral and your model, no matter how nice the rest of it is, will look like a cheap toy. Dihedral simply makes or breaks a model airplane.
  19. First one's Youngbloods. Second one is the Billy Jack theme. Third one's a Coke commercial.
  20. And the singer was so flat in at least one spot I thought there was something wrong with my headphones.
  21. When mine get dusty enough, I like to blow 'em apart, clean 'em up real good with soapy water and a soft brush, and put them back together, maybe making some little fixes and improvements on the reassemble.
  22. If you bought them because you're a fan of those cars and you wanted to build them, then build them. They're not THAT rare and Revell could repop them again at any time. If you're not that interested in them, then sell them to someone who is. See? That was simple!
  23. Interesting, but way, WAY too slow. It almost put me to sleep. I had to go listen to the original to get my heart rate back up.
  24. They probably will. You might have to demonstrate the problem. If they don't, buy another can, and use THAT receipt for a refund of the bad one in a couple days. In my experience, though, these days most businesses are trying very hard to keep customers happy and keep them coming back.
  25. Not just you--he's off his rocker. But something about it smells fake to me.
