That is a list of very cool cars Tom, are there kits for them?? I had been on a retro kick of late with slight influence from Ralph Lauren's collection of icons So just got an Airfix Bentley 1/12 Now I am after a Ford GT40 in lager scale....want to make it in the Gulf livery. Maybe the Trumpeter kit .....and I need an extra day added to the week just for modelling with no disturbances

How can one bend time?

As the kids get older you think they will need you less and give you more spare time....right? Nope. Mine like to hang out and even do projects with me, help with school, go skiing they are my buds You gotta savour those moments, I will do my models when I am an old dead fart -

I like it a lot, been looking for a kit of the gen before Had an '89 Civic Si for 11 years; it got me through my university days and almost up to the birth of first child Loved that car, must have moved a dozen times in it Will follow along on your build

Engine is cemented in as is the exhaust system Need to touch up paint a bit before body goes on. The rack comes in handy Away skiing so no more building for a week

Not yellow Beautiful car though, loving this era of vehicles at the moment

And now for something completely different....The Interior I decided to try covering the seats with real leather and some fabric for carpet Pile of leather scraps from Tandy Leather I think All of it is way too thick so I have skived off the back with a razor tool The 'carpet' is an Ultrasuede material, wish it was a shade or two darker for some contrast Everything was cemented with contact cement Looks a little rough around the edges, but those edges will never be seen. The shifter and e brake have a leather boot added to their base I burnished the lines into the seats with a small wood dowel before the cement was set I will add thread as piping around the edges. The spool is Havana Brown Tiger thread, one of the best in the world for hand stitching leather I was going to make some darker floor mats, but in test fitting I couldn't see the floor so as a wise man says, why waste time on things you won't ever see Feel like I actually made a bit of progress today while stalling on the engine compartment and paint

It is this one And thanks for the kind offer!

Will follow along, looking good so far

I mounted the carbs and made a throttle linkage, some electrical bits also Don't like the chalky, sloppy look of the chrome paint on the carbs....Maybe the paint reacted to the aluminum? Thinking of going to the office and sandblasting them back to bare metal I need to get the paint on the body, but is so humid and wet out here Might have to spray in the basement So much babble, so little progress
