  1. Very sad indeed. I bought a few decals and resin F/C bodies from him, and they were all top shelf quality.
  2. Mike, those wrinkle-wall slicks are from Competition Resins. I've used them on some previous builds. They're a perfect height and width for almost any 70's funnycar or top fuel build. Their link is in the Aftermarket directory section. Thanks for the comment and question.
  3. I know you do, Bruno! Your builds are fantastic, thanks!
  4. Thanks Chuck! I have more pics if you'd like. Just email me if you want more.
  5. Hey Guys! Again, thanks for the comments. There ARE a number of things that need to be done to this kit to make it look presentable. As I stated above, I enlarged the rear wheel wells, but should've reduced the front wells. At the same time, I think that on my next build with this kit, I'll lengthen the chassis by just a smidge to give it the correct wheelbase. Oh, the 426 valve covers were from a Revell kit, and the Enderle injector and the dual 'chutes were from Calnaga Castings. Steve Perry (from Calnaga) makes an excellent Enderle blower hat. Finally, the front 5 spoke wheels were from a Polar Lights kit, because the ones from the kit are junk. Hopefully, this will help anyone wanting to build this kit.
  6. I already loved your 1/24th scale version of this, so I'm sure this one will be off-the-charts in 1/16th, John. I always thought Barry's dragster was one of the prettiest top fuelers ever built. Looking forward to this one!
  7. Good eye, Chris. That bumper is from The Modelhaus (I think). Yes, I had to expand the rear wheel wells to better match the real car. Steve, I think I'll be getting back on my Dunn & Reath rear-engine 'Cuda. Hopefully, I won't screw up another resin body this time! Thanks for the comments, gentlemen!
  8. Just finished my last build for this year. This was built using the Model King Challenger f/c with a few body mods, some (not a lot) engine detail and Chuck Boerner's fantastic decals. This is my first buildup of the Model King funny car, and the next time I'll be sure to close up the front wheel wells and lengthen the chassis somewhat to make it appear more accurate. Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy. Comments and questions are always welcome.
  9. Don't know how I missed this one until now. VERY nice build up, Darryl..! Great job on this parts-box dragster, Sir.
  10. Awesome artwork, Chuck. Great job on these, bud!
  11. Nice job, Ray. Cool concept!
  12. Once again Bruno, super-clean, well detailed and expertly painted build. Great job, Sir!
  13. Outstanding build, John. Congratulations on another fine creation!
  14. Slixx does not produce decals for any current Top Fuel dragster. The most recent one is the 2010 Fram top fueled driven by Cory McClenathen. There are a few 'cottage industry' decal makers who might be able to make the decal for that dragster, but it would be expensive and take some time.
  15. A fine looking build, Paul..! Just the right amount of detail.
  16. Very nicely done, Steve. So many different ways to build this kit makes it great.
  17. Awesome build, Bruno! Engine detail is very nicely done.
  18. Nice job, Neil..! Black looks sinister.
  19. Very nicely done, Ray!
  20. Thanks Jonathan and Lou. Northwest corner of the valley, Jonathan.
  21. Thanks everyone. Your comments are much appreciated!
  22. Wow, Dave! Glad you're back to the bench. I'm going to enjoy watching this...
  23. Sorry for the late reply fellas. Thanks for your comments. Ed, I'll make another attempt at an interior shot. If it's good, I'll post it. As Dave alluded to, this type of kit is out of my normal comfort zone, but it was a fun change of pace. Glad y'all enjoyed it.
